Hi @baykah I decide to fit a Nylon guide at the top end of the leadscrew which runs inside the steel or carbon fibre tube.
Its not a tight fit but enough to take out the worst of any wobble when the actuator is at full travel .. will try to do a sketch to show you what I mean , the nylon sleeve fit over the top end of the ballscrew and is retained by The Circlip that came with the original ballscrew set ... its free to rotate but with about 2mill clearance from the actuator Tube 22mm Internal diameter not tested it in anger ( sim in bits :-( ) but that was one of the fixes I decided to do while it was in this state.. hope that describes what your seeing :)

Hi, I am interested in building your actuator design and have downloaded your latest plans,
but I am having a problem finding the parts and where to get them.
I have looked on the open builds website but cannot see most of the parts.
Would it be possible to provide me with a full list of parts and where I could order them online.
Also what parts have you had to make yourself.
    Many Thanks

I am building a Sim and I post most of my parts I got so far, how it cost and where I got them. It`s not the same as @wannabeaflyer2 . but it could give you a start.

    6 DOF from scratch

@SeatTime , @SilentChill , @noorbeast and many others have build threads that you must read if you want to simplify your life.

@wannabeaflyer2 , I just want to say that I had read this thread a long time ago and it was really helpful to me. As I wanted to determine the size of my base, I downloaded your plans. Man, I should have done it way before, it would have helped me a lot. You are crazy. So many details. Thanks for so many info, you`re the man.

Hi @wannabeaflyer2 , you will love VR - I certainly could not go back to flat screens. Unfortunately Women don't understand - even when you can afford it , so often its easier to seek forgiveness instead of asking permission :p.

Wait until she buy some cloths and shoes, about the same price than a Rift, and make your move.
It won't work, because cloth and shoes are a must and a Rift is not.
This is when you buy her jewelries.
You'll be broken, but all will be happy.

Hey mate, this build is awesome! Thanks for sharing. I have been reading your build (and silentchills and seat time) religously the past couple weeks. I've gone ahead and ordered all the parts for one actuator, can't wait to get building it and get it sussed out until my bonus comes in like 4-6 weeks time to buy the rest haha. At least i'll be able to work on the frame in the meantime.

How are you finding the carbon tubes strength? 3mm thickness enough? I'm 100kg and it worries me a bit. Have you noticed much gain over steel tubes? that's my final part to buy.

    my9764-450w-24v-dc-motor

This is the motor i've ordered, hoping to get away with using 2x32 sabertooths.. what you reckon? Trying to get away from having a battery.
