i think no: in the HX711 datasheet https://cdn.sparkfun.com/datasheets/Sensors/ForceFlex/hx711_english.pdf
it is told Operation supply voltage range: 2.6 ~ 5.5V

    INA122 has a much wider range: 2.2V to 36V

    Hey Guys,
just wondering if you know if the load cells from a Wii Fit balance board will be good for this mod? Not sure what he specs on it are...

Thanks for the reply RacingMat, Should I be getting a voltage out of without an amplifier?

No, an amplifier is mandatory to read the small values from the wheatstone bridge...

By any chance do you you know what "E" & "A" stand for which is the input V?

Thanks for clarifying the need for the amp.

    Cheers,
    Max.

    Hi RacingMat,
will a INA114 do the job?

    Thanks,
    Max.

Hi Guys, I'm new here so first of all, Hello:)

I have a short question, will this load cell be ok as a replacement of pot in g27 pedals? I can see that you can order it with amplified output (0.5V - 4.5V). Will pedals calibrate with such voltage range?

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you for such quick response :)

So the rephrase, In case of Load Cell with amplifier, I do not need to do any wiring/building custom ciruit board, just attach it to wires that were attached to pot, right?

    and regarding consoles?

ricmotech first revision of load cell was using this device as replacement of pot and you just connected it directly in place of potentiometer (without any amplifier/circuit board) however he stated that it is incompatible with consoles. Why?
Lately he released v2 which is compatible with ps3 however there is a small circuit board included in this mod (load cell itself looks the same). Can you tell me what is the role of this circuit board?

Is he using load cell without amplifier now and the circuit board is amplifying the signal (similiar what you have done with diy mod) so it will calibrate properly when plugged in to console?

    Thank you very much.

PS. Don't get me wrong, if I was living in US I would definitely buy that straight from ricmotech just to support him and what he is doing to community, but I'm concerned that if I will order it it won't get to Poland since it is uncommon that small packages just disappear here before they reach reciever :)

Yes, exactly. It's this one (v2).

I found a youtube clip (I can not paste links yet, so if you are insterested search for "Logitech G27 Load Cell Brake mod by Ricmotech") in which they review v1 and if you will go to 5:35, they have mentioned there that it's incompatible with ps3 because the axis is reversed.

Anything that could be done about that?

    Thanks.

you could insert some swiches to invert the polarity...

Hello @RacingMat !! Does INA125 or INA128 also work? I can not find the INA122 in Brazil ....
    Tks!!!
    Sorry, English, google translate
