Hello All. New here. I would like to build one of these units as a demo project for my work. As a supplier of motion control components, I would like to use our own components whereever possible.
Has anyone used this system with a servo drive with analogue control or any of the industrial field bus systems?

Do you Instinctively Stick your Head in the steering wheel spokes when you have an accident.....No you sure as heck dont. As Im sure many wouldn't do. Would you potentially require a liability waiver for a OSW in public, sure....but Broken arms and finger's are a Bit over exaggerated. No one has ever reported having been injured really. Or at least not on any of the major forums.....and In reality if you did hurt yourself, There's only One person to blame, the guy Holding said wheel.

I know from one accident only when a (dump) osw user flashed Granite while the osw was on (full powered). After flashing he touched the wheel and it began to spin like hell. One finger was heavily injured. AFAIK he was a few weeks off (from the wheel lol)

In the initial setup i had one check box that got left unchecked and also had the 1000rpm run away. I guess some people are just bound to hurt themselves no matter how safe you make it.
