    @Rainer Arbinger,
Ok, I pushed a update to both plugins!
The PC version should now create the launch link and enable telemetry by itself.
(It also will not ask for a patching path anymore)
    Just install and play!

And the Console version, now works with port 4123 (SimTools default port) and should work along side the pc version of the plugin.
Please let me know how it goes!

    @yobuddy
    Hi yobuddy!
Here it is 3 o clock in the morning, I'm slowly getting a bit tired and should get some sleep. ;)

    I reinstalled both plugins:
    - the PC plugin still works
    - the console version first showed no response, but finally also worked after some "weird clicking" :cheers
Again you made a great job!
...and Í'll try to reproduce my "weird clicking". ;)
    More details later.

    Take care and
    good night
    Rainer.

    Awesome!
I updated the console plugin to get rid of the "weird clicking".
(I forgot to turn of patching path required, as it's not needed)

    @yobuddy
    Servus yobuddy!

    Some further details as promised...

Epic Roller Coasters plugin, PC version:

    First of all:
I got two Epic Roller Coasters installations on my PC - the Steam version and the Oculus version.
As SteamVR is not installed, starting the Steam version does not involve the headset and is therefor more comfortable for testing the basic setup of SimTools.
In principle it does not seem to make any difference if starting the Steam or Oculus version as the start of both of them is detected by SimTools and your PC plugin.

    Enabling telemetry:
I don`t know, how the "automatical creation of the launch link" and "enabling telemetry by itself" is intended to work. So it `s a bit difficult for me to exactly test what you want to be tested.
    Therefore some notices I made:
    - the plugin does not turn on telemetry for the Oculus version of ERC - I have to start telemetry manually
within the game. ( Not sure if there is a way to pass startup params to Oculus apps at all. )
    - double clicking the play symbol of the plugin opens the Steam window with ERC selected and ready to play.
Startup options in Steam do not seem to be changed. This means that telemetry is not explicitely turned on.
BUT: Even when setting Steam startup options for telemetry ERC seems to start with telemetry turned off and
in every case that I tested, I had to turn on telemetry manually within the game.
    Maybe another ERC update - I don`t know. :(
This is where I stopped testing "enabling telemetry..." at the moment.

    Patching path:
I have never been asked to enter a patching path yet.
"Just install and play" works for me.

Epic Roller Coasters plugin, console version:

It seems you made it - no more "weird clicking"!
    Tested twice:
    - turned on the PC
    - started the ERC console plugin by double clicking the play symbol
    - started my rig
    - started the Oculus Quest1 headset ( wireless ) and Epick Roller Coasters
    - started telemetry output to the PC running SimTools on port 4123 from within the game
    ...and enjoyed the rides...
    Everything worked perfectly. :)

If I`ve got another free install on my SimTools license, I`ll test the console plugin with a brand-new
    installation on a brand-new Windows-11-Laptop.

Sorry for that much texting, yobuddy! :(

    ...and again and again
many thanks for your great piece of work
    Rainer.

I think you would have to remove the pc version and restart simtools.
Then re-install the pc plugin from the repo and it should make proper link.
Since i fixed it after you installed the test one i don't think it re=made the link is all.

You can control what gets launched when you press play. Simply drag drop the games exe or a shortcut for the game onto the games banner to set it.

Well sweet, it works, thanks for testing!

    Hi yobuddy!
Sorry for the late response - was not at home for some days...

Controlling what to launch when pressing play now works as you described it - many thanks for that!

Auto enabling telemetry does not seem to work, but probably there 's nothing we can do to make it work - ERC does no longer seem to accept starting telemetry from command line params.
I tried it by starting ERC from the Windows command line interface ( cmd ) and it did not work either.
So in every case I tested, I had to start telemetry manually from within the game.

    Take care
    Rainer.

    Interesting...
If this does not work, then the link I make could not work either.

But, this company rocks, and have already asked me if there is anything else we need.
So I suggested a binary output type, and live data for the safety restraint bar.
As it would be so cool to have the harness in the sim actually work.
Anyway, I can try to give them a shout, and see what they say.
    Thanks for the feedback!

    Servus yobuddy!
Yes! B4T seems to do everything to help wherever they can. :)

It 's good that you have direct contact to B4T because I can't even imagine what SimTools, B4T and your plugins are able to accomplish when you work together. :thumbs

Please let me know if I can help with testing!

    Rainer.

Hello, I am an epic roller coaster enthusiast for 2 years. I was able to use my simulator with simtools v2 and I had very good results with RPM information. Unfortunately it is no longer managed in simtools v3. Do you think it's possible to put it back in the new plugin? Otherwise too bad I will juggle between simtools v2 and V3 depending on the games...

By saying "Console version" do you mean Oculus Quest standalone version?

You need to enable the telemetry in the game itself now.

    Ok I found !
The first thing I did was activate telemetry in the game. And the port is no longer editable once activated (port 7701). I thought that the plugin was scanning this port and switching back to Simtools but no :-/
Even with the launch option in steam with port 4123, the priority is the option in the game with the port registered in the game. The only thing to do is before launching the telemetry, modify the port to 4123 IN THE GAME (launch option is not priority). Only launch option "-telemetry network -ip 127.0.0.1 -port 4123" or "-telemetry network -port 4123" doesn't work .
    Thank you yobuddy ;-)
    Sorry for my english :-/
