    That message is not an error, it is asking you to select the file directory where ETs2 is installed, so it can patch the game.

    SOLUTION FOR ETS2 / ATS MOTION !!!

    Hi all, it's my first post since I don't use SIMTOOLS but LOGYKAL for now.
    BUT, I found this thread because my 2-DOF SCN6 motion rig wouldn't work with ETS2 nor AMS...
    I tried everything here and my Logykal Lince would recognize ETS2 or AMS was in use but I couldn't obtain any telemetry, and I wouldn't see the SDK prompt at startup.
    I used to put my plugin alongside the "eurotrucks2.exe" file like the other dll's, like recommended, but nothing worked.
    After a lot of trial and error, I created a "plugins" folder inside the x64 folder to put my Logykal plugin and IT FINALLY WORKED !
    Just thought my experience might help some others.

    THE SOLUTION WAS (for me at least) :
    - Create a "plugins" folder like this /{ETS2 install dir}/bin/win_x64/plugins
    - Put the motion plugin (dll) into this newly created folder
    - Launch the game
    - ENJOY !

    Hello

    I had this plugin installed and working normally. A friend complained that he was having trouble patching Simtools 2.6.
    I unpatched that plugin on my computer and started getting the same error and I can't resolve it either. Can anyone help?
    Windows 10, simtools 2.6.
    I already tried removing the plugin from the Simtools folder and reinstalling it, I selected all possible folders of the installation directories at the moment to do the Patch, but I only get this error from the attached image.


    THE SELECT PATCH IS NOT VALID FOR PATCHING !

    If I recall correctly, as I am away from my computer, you need to select the ETS2 folder in My Documents where it stores configurations as the patch path, not the game install folder.

    Hello..
    The patch is made in the game's installation folder. It's not My Documents. There's some other kind of problem anyway.
    I even managed to perform the Patch in the Simtools 3.0 version, where it also asks for the installation path and I select the Steam folder where the game is installed, without errors.
    However in version 2.6, this error occurs.
    However I wouldn't want to use the Simtools 3 version as it still has some other drawbacks due to it being a Beta version.

    I believe they removed the "plugins" folder from the win_x86 and win_x64 folders.
    Should look like win_x86/plugins, and win_x64/plugins.
    Creating these folders should allow the patching to work.

    The v3 version of the plugin is better, what drawbacks are keeping you from running it?
