Perhaps @vthinsel can test for you, as he created the plugin and is the person who can mod the associated values.

That said if sway actually produces motion then there are two key elements to that, the quality of the data the game supplies and how you tweak your sim for those. I am presuming you actually do have sway output and hence it is the latter to focus on, turn off all other forces axis and tweak sway until it is the best it can be.

Dear @noorbeast I turn off all other forces axis, only sway is on, and the movement I get is the same as that of the Surge! (o_O:think) I think the plugin needs to be reviewed.
At the moment I will play Pcars 2, although I do not like as much as F1, there if everything works well, until hopefully @vthinsel can review the plugin

You can change the direction by checking or unchecking the Dir boxes orange, so your sim moves in the correct direction @santanadany.

@noorbeast that I know, what I mean is that when braking and accelerating .... not when turning the steering wheel, Surge = Sway , You understand me?

    best regards.

I have said from the onset that your settings seem odd: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/f1-2016-udp-plugin.10070/page-2#post-142057

And in the last posted picture they still were:

Can I suggest that you post to your project page, instead of here, and first fix your axis and Dir settings so that they conform to what SimTools expects: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/which-way-to-set-simtool-axis-movements.230/

Then post pictures of all of your settings and a video that shows the sim movement and game screen at the same time, doing a lap.

That will make it much easier to assist with troubleshooting.

OK, I have 3 things to show :

    Pcars 2 UDP , 100% working well :
    https://photos.app.goo.gl/rWFsVLEvzsQz4zZM2

(Question : why does everything work right here? )

    F1 2017 UDP all axis on , don't work correct :
    https://photos.app.goo.gl/bzBOYY4nYfvCUlIo2
    (no Sway correct)

F1 2017 UDP Only Sway is on, turn off all other force :
    https://photos.app.goo.gl/RaCbZuxDsvGZUZCC2

(when the brake or throttle is actuated, not when turning , there is no force G to the turn)

    best regards

You may think Pcars is 100% working but on a 2DOF your Dir setting cannot possibly be correct, as roll is the opposite of sway but in your settings roll is the same Dir as surge.

I can only keep repeating myself, you need to fix your Dir settings: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/which-way-to-set-simtool-axis-movements.230/

ok, I changed it, the PCArs works even better, and the F2017, when I brake now I'm going to the side ... Sway continues to drive when I brake or accelerate.no when I turn :(

I can see there is sway data in the Tuning Center, so it is a question of settings. But unfortunately until the Dir settings are correct it is not really possible to make firm recommendations, as SimTools mixes allocations on the fly and the incorrect Dir setting will have a significant impact.

But now Dir settings are correct, and sway working with he acceleration of the car in longitudinal direction [g] , No with acceleration of the car in lateral direction [g], is it possible that the plugin has an error?

The plugin is described as potentially buggy, see the early thread history, and also note @yobuddy's advice re clipping.

If your Dir settings are now correct then a temporary fix is to set the Dir for sway so it behaves correctly and notify @vthinsel so he can check the plugin itself.

    Hello,

I have checked the plugin, and sway is extracted directly from the UDP playload with no additional calculation.
    Specs here: http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/46726/d-box-and-udp-telemetry-information/p1

I have attached to this mail a small zip/exe file which you can start and that will write to a CSV file interesting values.
This app listens on UDP port 20777. I also included a SPA run with a couple of graphics. (should work with all codemasters game)

It looks to work : gforcelat is correlated to steering, and gforcelon is correlated to accelerate/brake

    upload_2017-10-17_8-54-6.png

Let me know your thoughts on the values.

I noticed a nice thread for F1 2017 http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/53139/f1-2017-d-box-and-udp-output-specification which provides direct values, but as I do not have the game I cant do much right now for F1 2017.

Hello, @vthinsel, thanks for your help, very interesting information, I am travel for my work this week in Lima, Peru, but the weekend at my house I will be able to perform all the tests and send them to you.

also happens to me the same with the F1 2016, you do not have it?
Has anyone else had this problem with the simulator in Ps4?

    thanks

    Dany

Yes I still have F1 2016, and as you can see in the graphs I do have values for sway.
Once I'm able to get UDP data from F1 2017, I'll make a plugin (I have already started to do blind coding). If you could make it on SPA track it would be great (this is my reference track, with the nice hill climb that demonstrates pitch)

The python application to capture UDP you mean ? Strange. Python should work on any PC windows/linux/whatsoever. You installed version 3.x ?
    Output should look like this:
