Edit: nevermind F123 plugin is already available, those guys do an amazing job!
    Thanks !!
    How do you do that?
I tried your UDP settings but simtool does not recognize f1 23 as f1 22..

Making a plugin is not easy and SimTools 2 will be made obsolete by SimTools3, which is already in open Beta testing.

If you want to have motion install v3Beta, read through the v3 Forum Beta thread to help set it up. Or ask Prosimu to update their support for SimTools v3.

Alternatively you could configure the Generic joystick plugin on v2, as a temory fix: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...otion-plugin-and-vjoy-controller-mapping.387/

Or you could have a go at writing a v2 plugin yourself, but it is not easy: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...lugin-for-simtools-2-0-api-documentation.131/

As v3 is in beta, I would expect that plug-in are developed till its out of beta. Shame as I would also like to play f1 2023 with motion!

Very good Sapato, after several attempts, including using the SimHub UDP forwarding, but in the wrong way, with your instructions, SimTools and SimHub worked together. Thank you very much

Hi all, I am trying to use Sim Racing Telemetry (SRT) and SimTools at the same time so I can run analysis on the motion software but whenever I open and connect SRT my motion output on the tuning center shows no input. The recommended telemetry setting on F122 require the 2022 version to connect to SRT but when I do this my SimTools doesnt work. Would someone mind explaining to me how UDP works? I assume that it runs serially which is why SimTools and SRT won't work together unless they have the same year version right? or am I missing something?

You can't have both trying to access the same data at the same time. One would have to pass on the data to the other.

Okay thanks for letting me know. Is there a way that I can pass the data on from SimTools to SRT? I don't mind if there is a delay on SRT just don't want any delays on SimTools obviously. But I want to try run an analysis between using motion and not using motion to see what kind of a difference it makes.

I'm assuming that using SRT and SimTools on my PC are causing serial interference between the two which is why I can't run both but would it be possible to run SRT on my ipad and then connect to my game using IP instead of serial connection? would that maybe allow SimTools to access the serial data while my ipad records the SRT data?

I don't use SRT so am not familiar with its capabilities.

Other apps like SimHub can specify UDP ports so data can be passed on to SimTools, hence SimHub is capable of being run in conjunction with SimTools.

There is a few plugins that have UDP realy enabled in SimTools v3 also, so you can forward the data to srt should you know the port for that software.

    Alright, does SimHub provide telemetry
I only have V2 installed on my PC, is it only possible to access the UDP relay plugin on V3 or is there a V2 plugin as well?

V3 plugins are not compatible with V2.

SimHub does not do motion telemetry.

I am not sure what exactly it is you are trying to do when you say:

And what the relationship with that has for this particular plugin, as it seems that a motion/non motion analysis could be done with any plugin, though against what specific criteria is not really clear to me, what is it you actually want it measure?

For example, if you just want to do an analysis of SimTools axis settings then there is the Axis Analysis App: https://xsimulator.net/community/faq/axis-analysis-app.282/

If you want to do Live Profile Tuning while playing a game then there is the SimTools v2 - Remote Profiler: https://xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/simtools-v2-remote-profiler.172/

So my aim is to basically run a number of laps on different tracks within F122, some laps will be run using the motion outputted from SimTools and my motor, and some laps will be run without any motion at all. What I would like to do is have SRT recording these laps/sessions so that I can then do an analysis between running motion software and not running any software to determine what effect having motion in a sim rig has. The issue I am running into is that when I try to record a session on SRT my SimTools doesn't read any inputs from the game.
I am trying to figure out how I can run both applications simultaneously. I contacted the SRT team to try figure out a solution and this is the reply they sent me:

I am currently trying to run SRT on my Laptop and have it communicate to the F122 game on my PC to see if that will work. Will post an update if I get anywhere, otherwise I will try passing the data through a UDP relay however I am unsure how SimTools will react to that.

SRT has given you the same reason as provided here regarding UDP and seems to indicate that SimHub can be used with SRT. As s already advised here, SimHub can be configured to port forward UDP when used with SimTools, please see the FAQs here: https://xsimulator.net/community/faq/simhub-port-forwarding.356/

UPDATE!! I managed to get the two applications to work simultaneously. Firstly, because SimTools does not communicate via UDP 2022 format I had to use the free trial for the 2018 F1 game on SRT, this lets me keep my UDP format on 2018 in-game for SimTools. I tried running both software apps on my PC but this would not work since they cannot both listen in on UDP port 20777.
What I then tried was running SRT on my laptop and giving it the same UDP settings as SimTools. This works perfectly as long as you enable broadcast mode. I tested this by running a few laps with the tuning center open where I saw inputs coming in while I was driving, I then also hit record on SRT on my laptop and it recorded my driving session and let me analyse once I was finished.
I only have one concern for now, and it is that I put the UDP send rate down to 20kHz (recommended default value by SRT). It has slowed down the rate of input on the tuning center but I have yet to test whether it affects my actual motion significantly.
I have also sent an email to codemasters requesting information regarding the possibility of editing the XML config files of the game in order to create a second UDP directive. This would obviously be the best possible outcome but I am unsure if it is doable.
    Will post another update soon.
