Kickstarter sitting happily at 173% after 5 days and I finally found time to shoot a demo video with the pointers I sniffed last week....

Who is coming to demo it in London?

Are you using SimTool? I dont know how can you make it works with SimTool, since SimTool uses only sway, surge, and heave for inputs of lateral g, longtude g and vertical g, respectively ?

Yaw, roll and pitch movements can be used to simulate g forces. It’s what everyone with a 2dof is doing.

Yep, I thought too for this case. Transfer sway to roll and surge to pitch....
Just ask...I actualy feel better with more such transfering...

Yeah but they can't simulate heave forces in a real way which is where most of the action is at least when racing. Imo this type of simulator is a good experience only with flight titles.

Only if you're playing Dirt Rally....

We have a heave addon planned.... and we have 6 x 100W tactile transducers so you can feel the road.

We can agree to disagree. But at your price point it appears to be a good deal for what you get.

In fact heave is what i crave in flight with my platform as well as a smoother less steppy response. Are you planning to build a genuine heave DOF or a gseat style squeeze or tensioner?

Active zone shows the space currently required without pedal shelf and with (plus the part for the outer cable management arm). The inner cable management arm will be redesigned to reduce this.

You can also limit the yaw to 90° so you could put it in a corner.

There is lots of room in the sphere for quite a bit of full travel for real, we might need to add an active counter weight though....

Those are pretty big/exaggerated looking DOF movements. Are you using acceleration forces or absolute forces in the settings? With small amounts of washout? I guess it all comes down to how it feels. I would love to give it a try.

Both, although the track is pretty flat.

The sim is on about 50% power, so it can go a lot faster but if you put out a gentle video people will also wonder why... you can't win :)

It feels bloody terrifying, and you can't see how the 6 tactile transducers add to it either... you come try it :)
