Adding noise for vibration would be a welcome addition. Is there an idiots guide to setting this up as I am not in a position to do this myself without help and assistance.
Basically mimicking the forces felt during a standard transatlantic flight. Wind shear, buffeting and turbulence effects, that can be activated via a key / button press and also being able to adjust the force depending on the meteorological conditions.

    Thank you so far.

Any chance the FlyPT mover will support MS Flight simulator X or Prepar3D ??

How are you constructing your config file ?

1.) what is merge exactly ?
2.) when you want to share a profile, is there any way to load only the motion related settings without the rig geometry ?

    Thanks

Yes absolutely, it’s fast and smooth enough.

I recommend this settings for @Thanos board:

    @Thanos and @wannabeaflyer2 ,

    OK, it's my birthday today!

So you offer me the games and I will make the source module for them. :p
Be fast, because I'm getting older.

    Seriously,
I think for Condor it's easy, they have UDP from a fast search I made. Just need a reference and it will be easier to make it.
Flight simulator, amazing, but I have to see how I can get data. Is it through a dll? Or do they have something incorporated. So popular and old, and I never looked at it in the perspective of taking telemetry.
Prepar3D looks more complicated, but I think I can do it also. Seems they have a sdk.

But I need help for testing and feedback.
I want to make them, but somehow based on what I have for XPlane. Getting all those effects is what makes it worth the work.
Xplane source is now more stable, and I think the basic concept works that way, so I think I can now start doing it for the other sims.

Been busy at work, and solving some bugs in the current build. Might have a new one this week.

The idea of merge is exactly that, merge modules from one file into another file.
For now you have nothing more, but I want to add a question where I ask witch modules to open from the file we are merging.
This answers somehow question 2. I thought of making a save where you selected modules to save.
It's not perfect... But a faster way of making it.
I think the ideal was to have a setup that we save as a base and reuse it. If we reset the modules, it would reset to that base defined by the user. So the rig and outputs could be on that base and then you would merge the shared setups.
Also though of making separated files for each type of module and we could share them that way, but I think it's going to generate to much confusion.

Need to think better about it.
The base structure is now more stable, and I can start implementing one solution to simplify the use of Mover.

What would be the best way to do it? Ideas are welcome.

Ok, SimConnect for prepar3D and Flight simulator.

    Are they the same?

I think as well one file is better.
You can maybe detect when someone wants to load a file for the first time and add a simple dialog like
“ do you want to skip the geometry” yes / no

    Up to you

Microsoft sold their FSX code to prepar3D so they are the same but I would expect further enhancements have been made since then.

    feature request...

Landing gear in xplane (Mover) works very well for the drop/retract bump and transit.

It would be really cool to add separately a noise (something similar to RPM code but related to air speed) in range 80 260 kt.

It could maybe work with a increasing LPF while the airspeed decreases.

    Happy Birthday.. ;-)

Same principle could be used (without gear variable) for aircraft structure overspending with different airspeed range ;-)

    Hi @pmvcda
the last days I made the final wiring of the motor controller and the endswitches - heavy challenge so far with some remaining Problems with my endswitches
Now one of my actuators is running stable with your mover interface - so big milestone is reached! :cheers
But now I have the same problem, that once Stijn Carelsbergh had when he tryed to connect his Odrive to your older hexapod interface.
The problem is, that one Odrive motor controller controlls two actuators via only one USB-port.
Here you can see my output settings for the one running actuator. But as far as I try to add some commands for the other actuator the actuators doesnt run at all.
So please could you give me a hint what to do? How do I have to write the command line?
    Thanks a lot!!

    Hi, just follow this:
It's from one of is posts.
I would write here the string, but I'm on the phone

Just noticed he's using the same axis, but put there the axis you want to use

    Hy @pmvcda

Thanks a lot for your fast answer!! I apreciate your support very much!!
I have already knewn the thread you mentioned and tryed to solve the problem this way - but I dont unterstand something:
Stijn had the problem with the hexapod interface software - this looks different to the mover interface!
I was not able to find there the: "number of ports".
Stijn said: "I found the problem, the space between the commands was not expected." - ok, but which spaces? I tried to remove them all or only some, but it doesnt work.
Do you mind writing the exact command line?
    Thanks
    Wickie

    I think it's

    p 0 <Axis1a><13>p 1 <Axis2a><13>

No space between the two actuators.

Can this software be used to simulate turbulence effects in Aerofly FS2? Bearing in mind Aerofly FS2 does not send information to simtools currently.

I expect pmvcda will do just that when he gets a chance. His support of this community is amazing. All I can do is share the method I've used for solving these type of issues over the years with my own 6DOF.

    Ready? Deep breath:

Consume copious amounts of caffeine and stay up for 36 to 72 hours straight only getting up from the keyboard for bathroom breaks while reading the entire internet. Sit there knowing I'm looking at the answer but don't have the knowledge to understand what it means, and fighting the computer and/or hardware trying to follow half-understood instructions. Eventually I either solve the problem or have to give up and finally go to sleep. I pretty frequently then figure out the solution a day or two later when I'm writing an email or forum post to explain the problem in detail hoping for someone to rescue me, which forces me to get all the facts organized and revisit all the details I had forgotten and then it clicks.

That, or more often in truth pmvcda, Dirty, Seattime, Noorbeast, Thanos, or one of a handful of others comes to my rescue.

Joking aside though you will learn a lot. Stuff that was Greek to me three years ago I learned without even realizing it was happening and it all seems much less intimidating now. Github still makes me go cross-eyed and gives me a headache, but eventually I imagine I'll get that lingo figured out too. Point is, keep at it as best you can and as long as you put the effort in this community will almost guarantee your success. =)
