Just finished reading through the whole thread. A ways back I thought I'd read that mover could be run on a separate computer if using UDP. Towards the end of the thread there is a comment that you cannot run mover on a separate PC. Can anyone confirm one way or another. Separate PC would be really nice for taking the load off of the game computer.

If the source sends data through UDP, you can run the game in one pc and Mover in another PC connected to the rig.
But you can also send the output over UDP, so if needed you can use 3 computers, one with the game, one with Mover and another connected to the rig.
You can even control more than one rig at the same time using different apps if want to...

All this introduces lag, so if you can use just one PC.
I have an old Microsoft surface that was supposed to run Mover in a stand mounted in the rig...

    Ok,

In the download of Mover, there's a folder with the DLL's.
Pick the one called FlyPT_RFactor2_MMF and copy to the folder:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Le Mans Ultimate\Plugins

    You need to restart LeMans.
Now in Mover, use the source for RFactor2.

I have a 5DOF actuator style rig, 3DOF (4 actuators) plus Surge and Single TL from E-Racing Labs, all 150mm. I have gone through as many of the 181 pages on this thread as possible (LOL) and through all the documentation on the website but can't for the life of me find anything that describes what the measurements are for the TL and Surge fixed and moving joints, etc are. I understand range (75 = half of 150mm) but don't see diagrams anywhere. Any links to something I can read up on? thanks!!!

    Sorry,

You need to indicate the position of the actuator joints at the default position.
The fields are x,y,z coordinates in mm
For example, in TL, you set the position for the moving joint (the one of the rod) and for the fixed joint (the one of the housing).
    Do the same dfor surge.
Carefull, X increases to the right and zero is at the middle of the left/right feets.
Y increases to the front, and zero at the middle of the front/rear feets.
Z is realtive to the middle of the feets actuators and increases up.

After the next release I will try to make a better manual with more images and FAQ.

Sorry but this don't work for me. I have plugin enabled in .JSON file but Fly pt don't receive data and source isn't connected. I have seen in the post that speak about LMU that the image in the source Tab isn't the same that i have, and also the the words. It seams udp method not mmf.dll

    upload_2024-4-9_9-39-14.png

    It's working.
Are you sure you put the DLL in the right place?

    upload_2024-4-9_9-40-22.png

    You need the FlyPT_RFactor2_MMF.dll
Careful, not the one for RFactor 1

:thinkNot working? That's strange, do you have other plugins? If one is causing problems it might block other plugins from loading. Have no more ideas right now.

Would you mind sharing your mover profiles? I'm trying to use FlyPT for the first time with a PT Actuator 6DOF rig like yours and it would be a good starting point for me! thanks!

I've noticed this too. You've probably worked this out by now but I find that as long as I start FlyPT before Voicemeeter everything seems to work fine. Start the other way round and I get the error.

Dear friend. Please tell me approximately by what time you will have completed the new version. I've been waiting for her for a very long time, like all the other guys. Last year you said you'd do it in December. and then he said many times that there were very few left. Please tell me the real time frame. this will be my month, either August or December. I am well aware that this is a very difficult job and it does not require haste. so please tell me the real time frame.

Generally speaking when someone creates valuable software in their spare time and gives it away for free, the normal convention and response is that it will be ready when it is done.

The pragmatic reality is that this type of development, done for free, has to fit into the dev's life, which like anyone else's can be unpredictable. Seeking to put time pressure on a dev giving away the fruits of their labor for free is not helpful, it is an unnecessary distraction cutting int to dev's already limited time to focus on developing the software.
