I also had some problems getting the data to com through from Live for Speed. I went through the entire thread again and realised that I had not saved the Axis Assignments. When I got back to the Axis Assignments Page, all assignments were blank. Once saved all worked well.

    Basically I did the following:
    1. Patched in the Game Manager, basically just point the patch to the path where game is installed on your computer,
    2. Set up Axis Assignments, and saved the Axis Assignments setup. See Pic 1
    3. Setup interface Pic 2
    4. Turned on Virtual Axis Pic 3 (this one was a bit buggy, as when I tried it again, I had to turn OFF the Virtual Axis to get any readings through)
    5. Activated Tuning Centre, which for me is not in the task bar, but on the Tools page, Pic 4
    6. Ran Live for Speed and marveled at all the readings coming out :) Pic 5
Hope this helps the next guy or gal that reads this...

@Lodewijk can I check some stuff.

For SimTools 2 the Interface Output should be like this <Axis1a> with the 'a' grouping added for each axis/force.

@noorbeast , ok thanks. What do these Interface outputs do? And why must it have the 'a'?

    @Lodewijk ,
Because we have two sets of Axis Assignments with SimTools 2.0.
    Take care buddy,

    Hi,
First post here ... would this work if I only have a mouse and keyboard pluged in ? no interface connected to my pc.
All i want to do at this point is to test if LFS is patch correctly and simtools reads the data.

Those a very old and now incorrect instructions. The correct Interface Output format for SimTools is now <221><Axis1a><Axis2a><Axis3a><Axis4a><Axis5a><Axis6a>

If using LFS for testing it has to be run before being patched for motion, please see the FAQs here: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...run-in-first-person-mode-before-patching.365/

A better option is to use the virtual simulator, see the FAQs here: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simulating-a-2dof-simulator.278/
