    In this case anger is aimed at Google for basically undermining OpenVR, which is meant to be platform agnostic. Of course Facebook/Oculus did the same thing earlier this year with the Rift but then backed down.

    The difference here is that it was done at a developer level and by Google, which generally promotes itself and its products as being somewhat open. Google is a Facebook VR competitor on the mobile hardware and software front. Google only has software interests on the PC VR side.

    Google has since said Google Earth VR will be coming to other hardware, but many don't accept that there is justification for Google undermining SteamVR, which already includes Touch support.

    You can turn it off but by default when moving fast GE VR automatically narrows and blurs the edges of the FOV, which for many people will prevent nausea.

    I don't know, 6 of one half a dozen of the other I think. I went with the Vive after the DK2 because it had controllers from the get go.
    Google Earth will be officially on the Rift when it's controllers are available no doubt.

    lets hope its very soon. Im going to have a quick look tonight with the limited keyboard controls. Then im going to start setting up my motion again now i have the CV1 and PC up and running problem free.

    wow. cant wait for rift support. i had a play round london for now of places i know. it starts off low to the ground but gradually gets higher when you move about. still very good though
