    @value1 , only a question.
I see the plugin provide data only for sway, surge and heave (as you wrote somewhere in the post; remember having read it ...), but in the Profile Editor I olso see Pitch, Roll and yaw. I think it's only a mistake on the image in the Profile Editor?!?
    Ciao!

    Thanks for the reply!
    It was just a curiosity'.
I thought that what was displayed on Profile Editor was something predefined and not "read" from the "data structure"! :thumbs

The GTR2 Plugin version 2.0.0.2 worked fine for me.
When i tried the new one v2.0.1.0 i have no effects on my 2 DOF.
I checked lots things trying to understand where the problem could come, i installed it the same way like the version 2.0.0.2 but with this last version 2.0.1.0 it doesnt work.
    Somebody can help me please?

This improved version of a plugin requires Steam version of the game .exe. It will not work on a CD version of the .exe. That is because only Steam version of GTR2 has partial support for rF1 plugins.

Hi 'The Iron Wolf' Thanks for your answer.
    I have the Steam version.
I suspect maybe it is because i use the no cd GTR2.exe which is 5.89Mo and the original steam GTR2.exe is 3.37Mo.
The problem is that i am used to play online with Kolschbierbude community and i already made a try using the original steam gtr2.exe with the GIDPlugin and unfortunately as Kolschbierbude community use The no cd GTR2.exe the online multiplayer is not functionnal with Steam original GTR2.exe. It can be functionnal if everybody use the same *exe file but this is not the case.
I am maybe wrong, i don't know, i am trying to understand why it is not working as when i launch the game, Simtools works well, spot the game, but no effects... as it was working with plugin version 2.0.0.2 i am surprised it is not working with this one v2.0.1.0.
As i said i suspect the plugin 2.0.0.2 was made using the no cd GTR2.exe and the plugin 2.0.1.0 using the steam original GTR2.exe ?

i am understanding .... the no cd file GTR2.exe is obviously for a cd version even if i use it with steam version... silly me :blush so unfortunately i will not be able to use the improved version of the last plugin for gtr2 :(

Note that aside from more advanced motion support, Steam version also offers Crew Chief, SimHub and native VR support. On top of that I work on various bug fixes for the game. My focus is offline, but maybe one day more people will use that .exe.

As I mentioned to you in a separate thread, for niche games and circumstances you still have the option of using the generic joystick plugin for motion support: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/marketplace/joystick-plugin.127/

And the FAQ guide to extending it: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/feeding-multiple-controllers-into-the-joystick-plugin.378/

'The Iron Wolf', 'noorbeast' Thanks for your answers.
@The Iron Wolf , Simhub is working well with GTR2 cd version. I wish as you said that one day more people will used the steam version *exe to be able to enjoy it online :) it is great to know people like you are still working on this game to improve it. Thanks again to you.
@noorbeast , GTR2_Plugin_2.0.0.2 is working well with GTR2 cd version so for this game i don't need to use the generic joystick plugin.
I tried, unsuccessfully, the v2.0.1.0 to have more effects but the effects with v2.0.0.2 (surge, sway, heave) are fine and pleasant.
Maybe it could be nice for the others who would like to download these plugins for GTR2 to mention that 'GTR2_Plugin_2.0.0.2' only for GTR2 1.1 cd version or Steam version with the *exe 1.1 no cd
    and
'GTR2_GamePlugin.2.0.1.0' only for GTR2 Steam version with steam original GTR2.exe.

That is true, but just so that you're aware, it works much better with Steam .exe (ShakeIt). Same applies to SimTools plugin, you can use old plugin version with CD .exe, but motion support is much better in the updated version that relies on Steam .exe. In case you are not aware - you don't even need Steam itself to run the game, you just need the copy of the game from Steam. I don't even start Steam when I play GTR2 (heaven!) :)
