    Ive already added the MMF module for compensation in mover..is that what you like to share?

    I like to see your motion comp settings for mover and
    Im interested in your mover file for DCS if you have any..

    hey guys.
    i have a problem and i am trying to solve and a year after my build hasn't been as satisfying to use because of hard trips or the thing becoming erratic.

    im running arduino with sabertooth 2x60 driving ampflow motors E30-400
    reducing the PWMmax to 190 seem to reduce the hard trips

    but when i try to test the 6dof with a loop running (via FlyPT mover v3.4.2) and in this example, a loop to run the pitch angle..
    the 6dof works ok, but then after a while an actuator or two becomes erratic...

    i would have to then disconnect from FlyPT mover, then run SMC3 on each of my arduino/sabertooth pairs in order to start back to normal....

    At 28 sec, look at that actuator and how much it turns and twists. After that, you becomes unstable. I think that you have a problem of tortion in your actuators.

    along with that actuator, the one next to it in the front, i would get jitter after disconnected from mover (no input to actuators).. but a few of the actuators become erratic, the one you pointed out is much noticeable. my problem is not limited to one actuator...

    my actuators are sort built for to spin free, i was worried about binding. i have bungie cords to help it from fully spinning.

    im going to see if this happens on simtools...

    i just did a test of having the loop run each arduino/sabertooth pair individually (2 actuators at a time) using the mover to run the loop/
    testing 2 actuators at a time having the other 4 off.

    and each pair becomes erratic after a few minutes..
    erratic behavior is not limited to one specific actuator..

    but in the smc3 utility, i can run the waveforms for how ever long with no problem..

    so, im going to test in simtools.. to see if i still have this problem...

    Hi , I saw the same thing that Pierre ( it like just one actuator ) look your Pot on this one if is stable ( like set screw on shatf ) or the pot is not stable and give strange ohm....

    that someone was me...

    btw, i see you have some RX and TX values in SMC3... did you hook up a pin to arduino to recieve data from the sabertooth, along with sending data to the sabertooth?

    btw, just to make sure, those SMC3 settings are applied to each of your arduino/sabertooth pairs?
    fpid stays the same for all 3 pairs?

    i tried your settings.
    the loop lasted longer with the fpid of 5.. i ran the loop for 2 minutes before it became erratic..
    where as a fpid of 1 started to choke in less than a min...

    at the end, i have to shut the mover loop output, and run an instance of SMC3 to each sabertooth / arduino pair to reset the unstability

    so i took the clip input and max limits to zero ... and only testing one sabertooth and arduino pair, this time it ran the loop with no problem... 10 mins straight, no erratic behavior...

    i have no idea.. going to continue testing..

    if someone can share explaination.. i would appreicate it...

    No. Ground and sending the value. Arduino receive from the potentiometer.

    All motor are the same. I have been told to put fpid high to smooth things. I have done many test, on many parameters, and did not find many changes. When a arduino gets lost, I have to reset everything.

    Clip limit will try to clip the value send to your motor and revers it so it goes back to the safety zone, no matter the input value. Max limit will cut all power to the motor (in theory, in practice, it will throw it against the first limit switch in view!)

    @SeatTime i used shielded USB cables , cut out the USB ends so i can tie the wires in a way to connect hall effect pots to the arduino... ( i have been concisous of noise so i went with the USB cable instead of just regular wire..)
    i also have the 0.1 uF caps between arduino input and arduino ground..

    @Pierre Lalancette i feel like i have a new 6DoF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    after setting clip input and max limit to zero, the actuators are running like champs (i hope i dont jinx)

    i ran a loop in mover for the last 15 mins... no erratic behaviors.
