@bsft My Seat motor's are still on the Very first set of Plastic pot mount's i made. After the whole lock up situation with the alum mounts and going back to the plastic mount's I have yet to have an issue. So Im kinda going by the "If it ain't broke, Dont Fix it" mentality right now. I Did however use a coupler on my Traction loss but unfortunately didn't really get any decent pictures of it aside form this.

I did however just find this, Which might help some. a sorta Cut away of how the motor's mounted to a flat sheet of plywood, Along with the Flex coupler on the Axle.

@bsft @Nick Moxley Thanks for the info. This will come in handy. Both designs appear to use an direct mount coupler. This will probably be how I do my mounting, seems the easiest and the quietest.

Here is my current shopping list:

2 Crab pot motors with gearbox

    2 5 turn pots

    2 JRK

    2 Power Supplies

    Seat w/ Harness
    Mounts
    Seat
    Cover
    Harness

    2 Buttkicker w/ amp
    Sim Kit
    ButtKicker

The ButtKickers are on back order with no apparent time frame of when they'll be back in stock. That'll save me some money on my first build and allow me to concentrate more on the moving parts. Does anyone have experience with the off-brand transducers?

I'm still looking into where to get my steel. Someone locally should offer that. As for a pivot, I plan on picking up a rear drive shaft U-joint at a local junkyard.

I'll be using my current PVC rig for a steering wheel mount until I find something better. I was intelligent with the design and made it so the wheel stand and seat can be separated. I've got the G27 wheel and have reverse mounted the pedals.

@eaorobbie uses a PVC rig just like that as a base for his steel seat mover . I built a PVC rig a while ago and full motioned it.
Weird about the buttkickers, but hey if you get moving first, thats the good thing
