    P3D is great with the Rift, you have to back off the settings a bit but DCOC asynchronous mode does a great job even if the frame rates drop a bit. The only downside is the licensing restrictions, it does not affect recreational or commercial simulation but kills combat.

    @value1,
    Is a fix for the Steam version of FSX being worked on, or was there a workaround I haven't seen mentioned anywhere?
    Thanks in advance.

    The plugin also works with the steam version.
    You must run *all* simconnect.msi you find in the installation directory. This might be the issue.

    @value1 ,
    Thanks. Ran all 4 simconnect.msi I could find and that got me past the initial crashing, but now I have the EXACT same issues as @Archie had/has in his original post.

    @value1 & @Archie,

    It's definitely a problem with the Steam version only. I installed a copy of Flight Simulator X (Platinum Edition) and it had motion simulation right away. Does anyone have it working with the Steam version?

    @Brett - Sorry man, I dropped FSX like a hot stone and went to P3D, never looked back. I removed FSX from my Steam Library. Even at the current $4.99 sale it's still $4.99 too much :)

    Hello I have FSX but I have not made the switch to P3D ,I heard that it does not go into 3d mode . I use 3dplay nvidea with the Benq 1070. FSX is perfect in 3d , Have you tried P3d in 3D?

    I am running FSX Steam Edition. The game patched successfully, already created the profile. Ran all .msi files but still unable to get the values on Tuning Center. The game is being detected by Game Manager & Engine.
    Can you buddies please get me out of this situation? Anybody please?

    Does the SimTools Game Manager turn blue and say 'Connected'?

    I had the exact same problems as yourself and @Archie @Asif Habib . I use Prepar3D now, as it appears the Simtools plugin needs to be updated for the Steam version of FSX.

    Game Manager DOES turn blue and connect as far as I recall.
