    Hi Folks,
FYI - awhile back I also bought an UNO (clone) from eBay. Could NOT get to work, little less see a com port.
I wrote the seller and he responded back by giving me a site to download a "special file" to run first, then the clone UNO would work........well, it did,
but a hassle........needless to say, it went in the trashcan and I purchased the "real deal"...

    Good luck

Arduino with CH340 need this special driver to work properly http://www.5v.ru/ch340g.htm
I would not advice to use them

At the end I prefer using real Arduino, like cthiggin: I had problems with some clones but that's true that some clones are really good!
