IBT-2 H Bridge no 24v output

    If you manually turn the hall sensor one way then the motor will only spin one way, turning the sensor the other way will change the direction of the motor.
    Generally mount everything together, run SMC3Utils click Sine and see what happens.

    That's my point, with the hall sensor connected it will only turn one way, nothing happens the other way, also it should gradually speed up as the hall sensor applies more voltage, it does not, it just goes at one speed

    The line moves as the hall sensor is turned so that's functioning, the motor is not behaving as it should as previously mentioned

    Hi, so I am slowly narrowing down the issue, I have purchased the 100amp bridge and it is sort of working, it seems like my pots are too sensitive, I can control variable speed with them but it is the tiniest of movement, when connected to the motor this causes a major headache as the motor just wants to turn a few cycles.
    What Hall sensors do you use?

    The sensor seems to run 0-100% over about 45degree turn, after that no change in speed, when its turned 180% it immediately switches direction.
    I'm assuming Mode1 is correct

    I see that your path to motion sim is even harder than mine.
    One step at a time.
    Mode 1 is correct.
    I use the P3022-V1-CW360 Rotary Hall Angle Sensor 0-360 seems to be the same as yours.
    Correct they are sensitive , but this does not affect the operation of the whole.
    If you can, measure the voltage that comes out of the sensor when it is in the zero position ( the green line in the middle of the SMC3Utils screen) it should be around 2.5V at my place it is 2.3V
    You must have SMC3Utils running and you measure the voltage between the OUT and GND pins

    With the setting as shown in the screen above, I have 2.3V with the supply voltage from the arduino at 4.7V or half which means that the sensor is set perfectly in the middle of the measurement range.

    I recorded a video of how the movement looks like with me , see what the differences are in your case. Maybe record the video in the same shot (so that you can see the screen SMC3Utils and movement of the motor at the same time) and something can be deduced from it
    Generally the type of sensor hall sensor or potentiometer should not make much difference to the correct startup .
    Hall sensors are more durable and do not break when rotated by an angle of more than 270 degrees, which can happen especially at first.

    I don't know how I didn't notice that you wrote about 6 months use without any problem motion sim 2DOF, the matter is even more complicated :(.
    Maybe try to run SMC3Utils on another computer ?

    Hi, was going to mention that..... However my previous setup has a 4:1 ratio using the IBT-2, so can only assume the bridge has some sort of control over that. I have just setup a 1:1 ratio using the the new 100Amp bridge and swapped round the motor input wires and it is working like a dream, just configuring Motor2, hopefully I'll be up and running soon....I'll let you know
