Still unable to get any data from no limits 2 , read the activating telemetry here : https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/no-limits-2-v2-2-and-higher-how-to-activate-telemetry.198/
but still nothing , still not sure why , any suggestions ?

Is it the steam or standalone version? It does need to be the full version, not a trial.

If you have done so make sure you run the game before patching.

You can also try unpatching then restart as admin and repatch NL2.

Its there but delay is not listed in the commands list but in an example.
Please let us know if this helped your situation or not.

Hi - do you have a picture or two of the exact way the pull down resistors were wired (or a drawing)? Thanks in advance, Allan

"So with soldering iron in hand I added pull up 1k resistors to encoder inputs A , B and Z ( index ) , but no result , then tried pull down resistors as i think pull up is for an inverted signal , pull downs seem to clean up the RF a little while pull up seemed to make it worse. after scratching my head pulling apart both motors, moving cables , then finally decided there was to many unknowns in the existing cables so I will just put in new shielded cables to the encoders and bypass all the junction boxes and plugs I had spent hours testing see what happens.

Seems Quadrature encoder inputs are very sensitive to RF noise , and after putting in new shielded cables it looks like the problem is now gone ( solved YAY ! )

Now both encoders are getting clean data , theres a chance the teach tune may actually work , and it did :)
And not to forget a big thanks to Dimension Engineering and their Help Desk for the fast responses and great suggestions that helped immensely with working out what was going on with the encoder problem, got to love it when you buy a product and can actually get some support, well done I recon."

This is just an schematic i grabbed from the net but shows clearly the use of pull-up and pull-down resistors , I used 1K ohm .
Also ground the cable shield on the cable to the encoder only one end prevents ground loops and reduces RF from motors.
The encoder in the image has signals inverted and non inverted , the kangaroo worked with either but i used the non inverted set of signals.
You can of course use both pull up and pull down, pull down means that the signal is grounded via a resistor of 1k to ground or negative , for a positive going signal that was all I needed.

Your rig must be working good now although you didn't confirm using a delay solved your last issue. Would be nice for others reading this thread to know.

hi can you show a screen shot of your DESCRIBE teach tune setup example cliks per revolution , units of measure used etc I had to Fit Pull up resistors as well to get the encoders to perform at there best , but I failed trying to do teach tune with limit switches if I remember correctly ,problem with the homing switch activation ,,,, if I manually tripped each the homing switch 6 for each of the axises then the platform would work great but for me that part of the start up process was pain .. great to know you have sorted it ,,, the encoders need to do the homing at start up so that the system knows where it is .. I was close but @SeatTime's linear actuator design proved to be the game changer :)

Err yea been a bit busy so havent had much time to play with it or finish it , no the delay didnt solve the problem .

Currently working on problems with getting the video signal into the machine not really simtools related , I can either mount the PC in the machine which i would rather not do , or use screen mirror over wifi but that seems to lag quite a lot and is really useless at the moment , I am planning on trying a wifi AC network for it , with hope that the increased bandwidth will reduce the video lag to the screen.
Also been fitting it out with a sound system and a removable table mount so we can have something to clamp the yoke or steering wheel too .
I figured I would wait on the new version of simtools as that may solve some of the problems but its dissapointing i have to uninstall the previous version of simtools that is working fairly good and start configuring it again from scratch , I was even thinking perhaps leave my pc with the old simtools working and setup anther pc to test out the new version , just havent had time to play with it .
    cheers

So, blowing the dust of this thread. I've got a line to TWO of these and have big plans if I can make it compatible with the modem motion control system. This has been a good guide so far.

That is hard to say, as it really is a question of what a buyer will pay, and where in the world that is, often these old arcade rigs are sold via Ebay so perhaps do some research on previous listings there.
