Perhaps an additional circuit with cap could handle the backwards current? Cause my PSU is made to work with maxxon gearheadmotors. As well it has 2 rectifiers, and 4x10000uF caps.

Thanks for your explanation Thanos. I will use first times the battery solution, but it would be nice if it also would work with my PSU.
I`m wondering, Christian use a Transformtor too and it seems so he has no problems or?.

@Michael,

Post here some detailed photos of your DSMhb board. Top and Bottom sides please. And I'd like to see the type of power cables you use. If possible leave them attached on the DSMhb to see if you do something wrong.

Also try to use www.Imageshack.us to upload your photos, in the highest resolution you can (don't resize them small).

I know, but for example my 6mp camera generates 2.5mb jpg files!!!

I have to resize them to 1280x1024 or 1024x768 and be sure to have them compressed to 80% to be able to reach the 250kb limit. But then some details are lost too...!

In imageshack he can upload his photos directly from his camera as it has a 3MB filesize limit for each photo!!! And in his case, I suggested this solution to be able to see any hidden detail!!! I don't recommend the use of external links for images in any other case!

Hi,
ich teste gerade mit Force Profiler ( 1.8 ) und dem Force Sender meine Simulatorsteuerung. Die Motoren liegen noch auf dem Tisch also noch nicht am Simulator verbaut. Mit GTR2 funktioniert das ganze schon, die Werte im Force Profiler (obere Tabelle) ändern sich schön und auch die Motoren bewegen sich ein wenig (bekommen halt noch keine Rückmeldung vom Poti). Nur bei Rfactor tut sich noch nichts. Muß man bei Rfactor noch was besonderes einstellen? ( das write shared memory=1 finde ich nicht in der PLR). Ich habe das Rfator- Plugin im Force Sender ausgewählt und benutze im Force Profiler die gleiche Datei wie für GTR2 von Christian (GTR2_ego.rnr).

Noch was anderes, wie wichtig sind die Force-Sender-Joysticks- Settings?. Ich kann entweder die vom Lenkrad wählen oder die von den Pedalen, da ich 2 Controller habe (DFP+VPP Pedale), oder muß ich beide Controller zu einem Controller (user defined/multiple Joystick) machen?.

Hi,
ich habe noch eine Frage. Kann ich die Potis, wie bei Elektronikjacks Simulator, direkt an der Motorwelle montieren. Mit einem 10er Ritzel auf der Motorwelle und einem 30er auf der Potiwelle?. Kann man so überhaupt die Position des Simulator erfassen?, oder muß man die Potis so wie bei z.b. Christians oder yobuddys Simulator befestigen?.
Ich frage deshalb, da ich einen Testlauf (GTR2, Motoren auf dem Tisch) mit montierten Potis, wie bei Elektronikjacks, gemacht habe. Der Motor hat aber gar nicht aufgehört zu laufen und ist in den Anschlag vom Poti gefahren. Zum Glück war das Zahnrad nicht fest verschraubt und so konnte das Poti nicht beschädigt werden, da das Zahnrad im Anschlag Schlupf hatte.

das rfactor plugin aus dem other stuff Ordner ins R-factor plugin Verzeichnis kopieren, und in R-Factor die G-Taste drücken, um die Hardware Plugins zu aktivieren.

Gilt nur für Simbin

Das GTR2 Profile funzt nur für GTR2. Wie der Name schon sagt. Aber Dondogon hat ein gutes Profil für R-Factor gepostet.

Überflüssig, da du den Sim ja nicht per Lenkrad steuern willst. Man kann damit aber für Arcade Games Effekte auf Lenkradtasten legen (Für nitro z.b)

Dazu noch mal ne Frage, muß man nicht die min und max Werte der Potis irgendwo eingeben, damit das nicht mehr passieren kann?. Funktioniert die Kalibration beim Force Profiler eigentlich?, bei mir tut sich da nix.

Hast Du die Potis richtig eingestellt - Wert im Display sollte so zwischen 480-500 liegen

es kann auch sein das das Poti falsch angeschlossen ist

Man muss mit dem AMC1.5 nix im Profiler kalibrieren. Man muss nur den Mittelposition der Potis der Mittelposition der Aktuatoren/Motoren zuordnen.

Die Werte werden bei mir korrekt im Display angezeigt, wenn ich das Poti (1K lin.) mit der Hand von Anschlag zu Anschlag (10gang) drehe, werde mir die Werte angezeigt (von 0-1023). Im Mittelbereich stehen Potis auf 510 (Motoren laufen dann nicht,richtig?). Muß die Steuerung (AMC) nicht irgendwie wissen welcher Wert Min, Max und Mitte ist?.

Sollten doch richtig angeschloßen sein, sonst würde mir ja nicht die Werte der Potis angezeigt oder?. Die Motoren kann ich schön regeln wenn ich die Potis mit der Hand drehe.

Wie mache ich das?.

Das weiß sie sogar ziemlich genau. Wenn die maximale Spannung 5V bei offenem Poti ist, dann ist die Spannung in Mittelstellung 2,5 und bei geschlossenenem Poti 0V.
Innerhalb dieses Bereichs gibt es dann 1024 Zwischenpositionen.
Kalibriert wird ganz einfach:

Pot in Mittelstellung bringen (mittels Displayanzeige), danach nur noch die Motoren bzw den Sim in Mittelstellung bringen. Fertig ist die Kalibrierung.
Bei Bedarf kann der Gesamtbewegungsspielraum des Systems noch per Trimmpoti auf dem AMC reguliert/begrenzt werden, falls die maximalen Pot Positionen den Sim zu weit ausfahren lassen würden.
Die X-Sim Software wird zur Kalibrierung nicht verwendet.

You must mount the potentiometers in such way that they will follow the motors rotation!!! The potentiometers are used as position feedback!!!! If they not attached to follow the motor rotation the AMC acts as speed controller, not position controller!!!

Ah, thanks Thanos . I took a picture (klick for bigger size) from the poti. There you can see how i installed it on the Motor. So, i think it is impossible that it works as position controller :no: . Can i change the cables so that it works, or must i install the poti in another way to the motor?.
