Of course. You look all more eager than I to see the result. It's nice and motivating:)

This weekend I found a brave cobay to get on the seat while I handled axes with simtools. All was well until the kneecaps twist and make the seat switch. No bobo just a big scare his daughter. IMG_20150619_105159.jpg

So I ordered a true gimbal on Mister-auto. I took the cheapest I've found, Peugeot 205.
Even job before can try IMG_20150619_105133.jpg

it is the ball of the gimbal that twisted ? I do not see too much on your photo. with the consequence against the bielletes have twisted !

Presumably this is the piece of square tubing that twisted? ... Resulting li bending rods ...
The universal joint is not suitable picture! This type of constant velocity joint is not locked rotating (helical) and moves longitudinally on its axis.
We need a universal joint to brace:

Hi @Fabgen if you intend to use a CV joint it must braced against rotation. This has been done successfully in the past, but a universal joint (cardan joint) does not need any bracing. It only needs to be strong enough. The joint from a car drive shaft will be perfect.

Thank you for your advice. These are the balls that twist and not the square. Anyway this system lacks rigidity .

So, the constant velocity joint, in general, have a helical movement, i.e. a rotation combined with translation (here vertical) which makes the inept for our utilsation.

I return after a long absence but not without novelty. The simulation is completed, it is not perfect but it's madness. Here's the video

    Environ 15° (+-7,5°) ?
    Bravo.

Here at least one 2DOF has taken real angles!
    About 15 ° (+ 7.5 °)?
    Congratulations.
