the USB cables are a mini A from memory. A generic USB cable for most devices, not just JRKS.
DO not use PS3 cables. I did once and nuked my JRKS.

Okay usb cables are mini B actually so I picked up a couple today. I've driven up to my father in laws and checked everything over and relised I've left the heatsinks at home for JRK's. Doh! Ill have to drop into jaycar and hope they have some and I also need some connectors for putting over pins on JRK's anyway

Jaycar carries heat sinks and often in multiple styles/heights, so you should not have any problems there.

Don't forget to pause for a moment and take some happy snaps to post for your next update, I am looking forward to seeing them as I suspect you will be getting close to initial testing ;)

as you can see from pics im using the linear bearings same as yours but mine will be doing the surge itself. I got a 880mm long one but im only gonna have 340mm total travel max (may not even go that far) so a big thanks to you dude for showing me the way! I was a little worried how they would go to be honest but they are awesome, moved the rig with ease although I haven't tried it with myself on it plus the very top frame yet. Hopefully we can finish the frame building tomorrow as traction loss frame is mostly made so far but haven't shown pics of it yet, just got to get it all sitting level with my 99mm high rubber castor wheels at back and the lazy susan bearing up front which is maybe 10mm high max but we are hopefully onto that.

another day done, traction loss frame basically done except for motor mounting positions etc and hall sensors need to still be added. Put it all together at the end of what we have made so far and seems really good. Both surge and traction loss can be moved around with a single finger. Bottom and final frame still to make which should be the most simple really but lets see how it all plays out, dropped into jaycar and grabbed the bits I needed

Awesome thanks. Couple more questions while I remember. How far should traction loss swing around at rear and how much movement should I setup for my top layer? well your recommendations more then anything

    Thanks guys appreciate the help
