    First post updated.
Redoing some of the controls and electronics since they didn't really perform like I had hoped.
The printed load cell brake has a lot of drift, probably because of the thermal characteristics, and the clutch didn't get a nice feel. Going back to the old tested bicycle levers.

    Hello Arturo! I’m good thanks!
It’s taken a long time painting and fastening all the fairings. Plus redoing the controls electronics. So progress has been made, but not much to look at. :)
I’m bringing the sim up to my new employers main office for a demonstration this coming week, so I’ll hopefully have more info to share by then.

No, using the latest version. I’m alfa-testing simtools3 and yobuddy has helped out a lot with getting the new plugin ready.

How is your build coming along?

hello Chris, we already know, all of us who have gotten involved in manufacturing our own design, the many times we have had to go back in order to continue forward.

I hope the presentation is a success and everything goes well….

About Simtools3 I have not seen it, is it already available? :think

About my project, it is almost finished…. I put an RC airplane motor linked to speed and a Bass Shaker with the revolutions that perfectly transmit the sensations in the hands and in the body... with the VR glasses the sensation is really incredible...:thumbs

The rig has now landed where it belongs, my basement!
And it is mechanically finished. Still lots to do with the motion profile and controller but great to have it as a test bench.

Had some time to get it setup yesterday, so it's getting closer!
Turns out I don't have enough juice in the outlets in my mancave... 1x10A is less than 2x12A apparently..

Had a three phase outlet installed so I’ll have a 16 amp 230V fuse for each motor pair. That should do it! Hoping to get some time to play around with it Monday.

    upload_2022-8-1_21-57-44.jpeg

Tried motion with VR properly for the first time. My VR-legs couldn't handle it!
The motion profile needs some serious tuning. This is awesome..

Made a quick cheesy teaser on my phone!
The motion profile is not tuned yet, but I thought I’d post an early progress thing.. :)

Had a little breakthrough yesterday with the motion profile. Finally got the surge/sway/heave working in the plugin and that really opened up possibilities!

After some time testing it turns out the front motors are struggling with the roll motion.
A slight miscalculation on my part, so I’m looking at ways to unload the front. Right now I’m looking at some kind of spring just holding it up in the middle. Lots of movement going on there though so the design is not really clear right now..

can the joints pivot correctly ? are the motors jamming with the movement ?

can you measure the current with a clamp meter ?

try shorter lever arms to see if it helps

Everything moves just fine. The problem is I’m just putting too much weight on a single motor. I don’t want to reduce the range, it’s already on the low side.
So either I lose 40kg or so real fast or get some springs ;)

I don’t own a amp clamp, but I can probably monitor the current in the saberteeth.
