    Good luck. I feel you are close to getting it working correctly. I wish I had the experience to know what’s going on. I have done some googling and am having trouble finding a situation like yours.

    If nothing else it may be a good idea to verify you have the most recent versions of the software and reinstall everything from scratch. I’ll be watching the videos again later tonight after work to try and gain some understanding.

    @ChuckyP is correct, you need to limit movement to a sensible range, the levers should also be parallel with the ground when the rig is level. The reason for that is the effective use of torque when using a lever is about 38-40 degrees up, and 38-40 degrees down. More than that will put the motors under significant strain, affecting control.

    same problem.a fix the levers and make them shorter about 7cm from the motor .

    You could try an even lower number for degrees in axis assignments. Instead of 10 do 5 or 2 even for now just to see if it gives any change.

    or you could go into the rotational settings again under “Out Type” and limit the travel for the axis there just to see if that may give any change.

    you could also raise the numbers in the Tuning Center where you set your Min Max values. The higher the numbers there the less intense the movement will be in game.

    I wouldn’t do all of them at once but individually just to see what the results would be. Something else seems to be at play though.

    EDIT: You can also adjust Boundary to limit motion on a particular axis. It is under the Filter settings in the Axis Assignments.

    Im not sure how powerful the motors are but they move the rig ok. I’m not sure how well it will handle additional weight but it is best to start conservative on the lever length CTC. Have you put any numbers into simcalc utility?

    also another hurdle on the horizon is the rigs balance with you sitting at the controls. If the sim isn’t well balanced with you in it the motors will struggle to hold positions.

    And one more random thing that came to mind is to be sure you set your Language to US under localizations on your PC. That can cause problems otherwise.

    The range of the axis should be set in SMC3, see the SMC3 instructions:

    Clip Input Used to create a band at either limit of the target range beyond which any values sent to the SMC3 are clipped. In addition to this clipping, if the motor feedback does move beyond this range (typically through inertia), the SMC3 will attempt to brake the motors hard by driving them in reverse until they are back out of this limit zone. The value can be anything from 0-255 (however can’t be less than the current limit setting). Reverse braking is applied in the band between the Clip Input and the Max Limit settings. Reverse braking can be disabled - refer to PWMrev.

    Max Limits Used to create a band at either limit of the feedback range beyond which if the motors move (typically through inertia) the SMC3 will automatically shutdown the drivers and keep them disabled until reset. This is essentially a safety mechanism if something goes wrong. The value can be between 0-255 (however can’t be greater than the current clip setting).

    I made this video for another member which shows how to find the pivot point. The more balanced the sim is the better the motion will be.
