    Hello Lealjay,

Nice job with the continuation of the platform. My students are also going to build a simulator based on the CKAS-platform. I will keep the development online (on the new site www.x-sim.de) as soon as we have something moving (since my students have to do the work it will take some time.

Our rig will be much smaller and will only have to support a cockpit that can be seen here:

    http://www.ricmotech.com/store/diy_chas ... kpit_plans

It will only support one person with one screen with an estimated total weight of 180kg (person included). For the motors we use a smaller version than yours:

    two SEW-motors, 15rpm, 152Nm

The purpose is to have a platform with an angle of 18° (pitch and roll) with a maximum speed of 30°/s (higher if the motors can take it). Do you think out moters are strong enough? At first I thought that it would be no problem but I see that your motors have a torque of 390Nm. Your load is ofcourse bigger but still I wonder.

    What is your opinion?

Thanks for the great pictures. I will keep our project updated as soon as it gets into the stage where the rotary encoders are attachted to the motors en we can start testing the movement.

    Bart
