The whole process is really quite daunting when you don't have any experience with this kind of stuff. . :D

Ok, you can come up with a solution now. I sold my copy of NFS Shift over the weekend. Between the stuttering, FF back problems and the fact that I couldn't use my rig, well I thought it was time to cut my losses. ;D

    Any updates?

By the way there are good mods available to practically remove the game sluttering and to correct FF settings ...

With proper mods and camera adjustments this game is great! looking forward for this ...

    Hey yobuddy!

Thank you very much for sharing your work! I wish I could test it now but I am still waiting for some parts for my cockpit frame... What plugin are you using with this profile?

    Thx!

Use the injector and look for a Need for Speed injector file by yobuddy on the online database.

The main problem I had with most of the offsets that were found is that they are dependent on the orientation of the car to the track.

Here are the offsets I used

    12357068 – Vertical
    12357080 – Pitch
    12357084 – Roll

    Pitch could also be:
    12357072 or 12357076 but I thought 12357080 worked best.

The profile is only to prove the offsets work no matter witch way you’re pointing on the track. I’m sure someone could make a better one.

If you need help – let me know.

Thank you for your injector file, however i cannot get it to work with your profile... the values do not match i think.

Were you able to see good data being sent to the injector file?
Every time i load it up I have to re-select the - Step One Game Process? (Need for Speed™ SHIFT)
    Thanks for the feedback bro!
For me to complete support for the game - I need all the feedback I can get! - so thanks

    yobuddy

Btw, I did some more testing last night and the only value that’s a little weird at the moment is the Roll value; I may search for another one.

EDIT: I mistyped the roll value - lol
after all that testing -
    Roll is 12357064

Anyway I'd like to run some tests.
The first test is below - it has a Profile and an injector file for Shift.

    Shift_Test1.zip

@SirNoName - any way for us to be able to remove bad injector files we have uploaded - I hate to see such a nice tool get cluttered with bad files.

It works! Thanks allot, now i have something to work with.
But the values are very low....@sirnoname: could you boost the values in the injector some zero's more? Or does that not make a difference?

Thanks again, i will fiddle with your profile this week;)

    Cheers

    Rob

need for speed shift plugin working!!!

Thx for testing it splendiddd!

I uploaded the new injector file to the online database, sure wish I could remove the bad one.

I built the profile one step at a time, so I think it’s at least a good starting point.

Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I did notice that the values were pretty low, but that’s why the values in the profile are low too.

if there is anything else I can do to help, just let me know!

Okay, i first of all would like to thank Yobuddy for sorting out the injector values.

I had a lot of fun playing Shift tonight, especially with my frex wheel, the force feedback is pretty good for with my frex wheel ;)

Also i adjusted Yobuddy's profile a bit: (nevermind the lambo comment, its pretty suitable for any car)

    SHIFTlambo2.rn2

I fixed the speed (full) and acc. (50%) settings. also put a percent limiter on it 90%, i do not use the SCN5 interface limiter.

I forgot about this game, because of the lack of motion, but even with only 3 values its really fun to play, the graphics and audio are suberb, sadly the psychics are not very realistic, nevertheless its great fun ! Thanks to Yobuddy for reminding :D

I will make youbook vid this week for you guys entertaiment ;)

    Cheers,

    Rob

I made a few modificatons to Yobuddy's profile as well. I'm having some issues with my G25 and NFS Shift where it has a ton of deadzone and I still have not found out how to resolve it yet so I haven't had time to test this profile properly.

It has speed of 22500 and acceleration of 500 set in the synaptrix and has been setup for 150mm actuators with the 25% limiter on.

    Thanks for the profile Mike!
Its Great, mine is a bit harder, so i switch between mine and yours now depending on the type of car. I also inserted a smooth filter of 75% on my profile, good idea ;)

BTW: strange that of the G25 deadzone, i have no problems with my Frex, did you check the controller settings? also use 50% of sensitivity, not less as many suggest, what rotation degree do you use? i use 540 degrees.

    Cheers,

    Rob
