Have you tried the latest release of Sharp Tyre mod by Julien Regnard ? It does a pretty good job for me, no more annoying dead zone and also correct braking issues ...

    Check your emails ... :)

For guys playing with a beamer or other similar setup as me, i would suggest two camera mods.

EDIT NR2: Seemed these mods had some bugs, just use the camera control mod, and put the .dll file in the shift folder, as the readme says. works great ;)

[strike]- Shift camera enhancer for no more movement in cockpit

    http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads ... -0-4-2578/[/strike][strike][/strike]

    - Shift camera control for adjusting the position of the camera. [strike](when doing the adjustment, use window mode)[/strike]

    http://www.racedepartment.com/downloads ... v1-4-2099/

Respect to the guys who made them :)

This is (viewing point) very more realistic, wish such mods where also available for other games. especially if you have a full cockpit, gauges and stuff, no more from the hood cam (as i use in most games except RFactor, witch has proper customization) nothing wrong with a hood cam, but it always is in the middle of the car, with these mods you can adjust it and view it from the proper angle. (left or right of the car, depends on the drive hand)

    Normal Cockpit:

    SHIFT 2010-08-05 17-03-07-70.jpg

    Normal Hood cam:

    SHIFT 2010-08-05 17-24-39-34.jpg

Thanks guys for the links. I'm going to apply both mods. I'm very interested in the camera mod as the current FOV with my triple screen setup just does not look right. I'm hoping the sharp tire mod will make the cars feel a little more realiistic.

Does this mod really remove the massive amount of deadzone on the G25? It was working fine and then all of a sudden, I have to move the wheel about 1/3 of a turn before the sim will react. I've tried resetting all of the settings but that still does not fix it. I'll give this a try. thx

    need for speed shift mods

This is one of the best mods for nfs shift... You will feel much more connected to the road. You can also enable centering spring in your logitech G25 parameters and play with the values if you still feel deadzone issues.

See the read me file for details and instructions

To adjust the cams, your best choice is the camera control v1.4 mod. It works very well and you can apply your change live by switching with alt tab. This tool should not cause any bugs... If you have some issues you should maybe try to reinstall the game.

Maybe the combo install of both cam mods is causing problems, i will look into that. Thanks.

Ok so i solved the cam mods, but i am having big issues with throttle control in this game....
Tried everything, from 0% to 50% to 100% sensitivity settings, but still if you put about 30% of throttle control (analog pot) it just almost goes full throttle.... very irritating, especially with the drift cars.
Please report if you have same issues with it, or have a solution for it.

    Thanks in advance

Sharp tyre mod does not apply to Drift races.

They are some mods available to modify Drift grip level but I didn't try them so I won't recommend any of them ...

I actually meant the accelerator control, not the grip level ;) The problem is not only with the drift races also with normal races. I do not have the control i have that i have with other games. and there is no slider graphic like in simbin and rfactor games to check the problem, looks like some sort of deadzone problem.

    Hey !

Sorry for the confusion :) Yes there are definitely multiple issues in this game.
This game will never be a sim and I take it for what it is, a cool racing game with great graphics and sounds but definitely not a sim. I tried a lot of mods and I also maked some but I got tired of modding this game just to make it more realistic ... you will spend more time trying to make this game more 'sim' then actually playing it! At least that was my case ! It's great to see some profiles for it, this will add a lot to the game!

Looks great....but they say 2011 sadly not a real release date...looking forward to it though, if they fix the physics that is ;-)

They talking about Spring 2011 - preorders are already on. New engine and new franchise. Trying to get rid of that arcade class from NFS titles. New perspective for this game - means they going for more realistic experience. It might be another proper simulator.

Isn`t this look so great ?!

They are about to fight against Forza 3 and GT5 so it might be aracade one but they want to take it to absolutely new level with better graphic, collision, phisycs and realism of driving.

NFS: Hot Pursuit suppose to support D-BOX motion system (with new patch).

Here’s the full list of planned fixes, as announced on the Need for Speed forums:
    http://forum.needforspeed.com/eaforum/p ... 58994.page

Mulit-Core CPUs: We’ve now located and fixed the problem that players were reporting where the game would crash on Car Select, Map Screen, Loading screen or just at the start of an event.
Missing Rain / Snow and Corona effects: This have been fixed
CL Eye Driver crashing the game on startup: Fixed.
Corrupted Dreamshots in non 16:9 aspect ratios: Fixed.
We’ve also added D-BOX motion chair support.

....so it might be easier to get motion out of this game.

Do we have a working plugin for this game yet or not really? Sold my game awhile back and I'm now thinking about getting Unleashed.
I was wondering if anyone has a good working profile for SCN5 100?
