Ive had them in my cart for over a year now, This isn't a Lot seller selling random stuff, This guys stock doesn't "disappear over time", so this is likely tied to a factory producing them.

PgSaw wanted some Ludacris 8$ per brush, So that set me off to Find the real source.

im 99.9% sure these are them, I took measurements but never wrote them down...So if your replacing them, Nag me and i can pull apart a spare motor to be 1000% sure.

Thanks Nick, I will press ahead until I start having trouble.
The reason I am "concerned" is, NoorBeast in one of my other threads about the JRK's going bad, said it possibly could be bad motor / windings kinda thing. Just mainly planning ahead as I like to have spares on hand so I don't have any / much down time on the ol girl.

    Hey guys,
Been contemplating and reading all about 6DOF.....
I think it is time to start building soon.
    But first a few questions.
Following the thought process of SilentChill's initial 6DOF build using Wiper motors, I too think I will go that route. So.... the initial questions / points:
    1. I would like to use the JRK's and PGSaw motors I currently have on my 3DOF. 25:1 versions
    2. Would also like to reuse my current PSU's as well (DPS800 HP PUS)
    3. Obviously will be redesigning the entire rig (not using the Obutto at all)
    4. Wood construction initially
    5. VR only use. Not really interested in flight sims, so not overly concerned with large axis movements (I have been steadily turning down my 3DOF since the start)
    6. Assume I will have to use some sort of gas strut to aid in the load
What are your thoughts on this build guys?

Personally I don't think 25:1 and JRKs are suited to a 6DOF platform, the motors can be back driven and JRKs do not handle higher power motors all that well.

Many including @SilentChill have had good outcomes with DIY DC actuators powering their 6DOPF rigs and I would suggest you seriously consider following in their footsteps if you want a DC 6FOF rig.

Rgr, I have read most of the 6DOF builds, including SilentChills
I am not sure I want to commit to that big of a build currently. (Time and Money)
In SilentChills threat, he really never explains why he changed over to linear, other than more efficient (understood) He seemed to have good motion with his wiper motor setup. Do you have any more insight to why he changed over?

@SilentChill was not using wiper motors, which are totally unsuitable, he was using powerful DC motors for his first 6DOF build. Even so he was resorting to using helper gas struts.

The DIY actuators have proved to be a powerful, fast and cost effective way to create a DC powered 6DOF rig.

    rgr,
I misunderstood the motors he was using then....
Guess I will have to go the DIY actuator route then.
    Thanks
