    That is insane!

I have a March 28 Rift pre-order and live in Tasmania.

I have always planned to get the Vive and Rift + Touch.

But I am starting to question if it is more sensible to hold off on the Rift order until it and Touch can ship at the same time and I can have some control over the actual shipping.

It really is starting to look like Oculus are indeed rank amateurs with the original USD $132 shipping to Australia, further nonsense like this and pretty much a non existent professional help service and customer support.

It is also looking like the Vive may be much cheaper for Aussies than the Rift + Touch, we will know more on the 28th when Vive pre-orders open: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...pe7cHxoA9ohb-c4k_t6smaiIHQ/edit#gid=981926132

Yeah I'm here, time for another coffee I think,
Have totally read everything in the /r/vive and /r/oculus forums
One comment that was interesting is that the Vive will be available in shops in some countries on the 5th April. So I am not expecting any orders made tonight/today to drag past that date.

So far it looks very different from the Rift launch, it took just minutes to fill all the March 28th spots. HTC claims that should not happen with the Vive. I guess we may know in a bit over an hours time.

Hmm, just had a thought. Our master bedroom is one of the bigger rooms in the house, about 30 sq metres, seems just about right. I'm sure the other half wont mind sleeping downstairs!!

I just got a notice from Oculus pretending that the State I live in is not part of Australia and not only are they not shipping here they are trying to preclude that, including voiding warranty, for something that is obviously their stuff up: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/48my6h/oculus_pretends_tasmania_does_not_exist_to/

Seems like they're trying to cancel orders here and there. I can't justify it. Especially after people from the very same places got their DK1/2 previously and not being charged this much too!

    EDIT: sorry for the OT

Remember to stand up for what you stood for, don't take no reply for an answer and never mess with a Tasmanian Devil. Well done @noorbeast .

Thanks for the kind words @Cantsitstill, I played my part but so too did many others and I am pleased Oculus reconsidered and reinstated shipping the Rift to Tasmania.
