    Hi ,

i’ve got a 6dof whith motion compensation working with oculus .
Using Flypt mover i would like to know if i could test the virtual mover feature .
I installed all the file but not possible to make it working .
Did work this feature only with vive tracker ?
If yes is it possible to setup a vive tracker for virtual mover compensation using oculus headset ?
Maybe this question already posted so sorry if it did. Please point me where I could get the answer !
    Thanks

@benmax Do you use mover as motion cuing software? Or just blank? You have to set-up mover the correct way and be sure that it's accurate.
If you use an Oculus HMD, you have to use the tracker provided with the HMD. OVRMC does not support mixed tracking spaces. And also be aware that Oculus HMDs do not work 100%. See the supported devices on my page for more information.

It works great with the Index, I have YawVR and 3 buttkickers, thanks a lot for this piece of art.
I hope it will work with the G2 too.

But with Pimax there is no way.

I've tried with a tracker and dongle, with vive wands and with index, no luck.

The software detects it and there is some movement, but the ham and the field of view is distorting a lot, and no yaw at all.

Any recommendations to use this with Pimax?

Can I use Move and virtual tracker with YawVR?

    Hi,
I have a question, where is the best place to attach a controller to the simulator?
at the front of the simulator, behind the wheel is it possible?
or should it be next to the pilot's head?
I think the binding must be solid to avoid vibrations?
should be avoided too thin rods or flexible fixation?

I'm having trouble coming up with a solid and sleek mounting solution for my HP Reverb's WMR controller. I recall seeing a photo somewhere with a clamp-type mounting solution bolted to an 80/20 rig. I believe it looked something like this, but I can't find the original photo anywhere. Any ideas?

Just a thought, as I have not tried it, but how about a reversed VESA pole mount, so use what would normally be the TV plate as the base and the pole mount to hold the controller: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=vesa+pole+mount

That's a great idea, and coincidentally, I was going to get this VESA adapter for the clamp I linked above, but the total price would have been over $100! Your idea is much more affordable, and I think it will be even more effective. I will update once I have everything set-up. Thanks again!

When I find some time (which is not soon), I want to design a mount to 3D print similar to this one:
My plan is to screw the lower part to the rig and add some extra weight to the tracker mount. I have bought some buffers for actioncam vibration dampers to act as the springy part.

steam stopped blocking ovrmc, after i decreased the supersampling scale on oculus try tools. strangely the dcs steam version has a lower performance than the non steam version that i had to uninstall in order to use the ovrmc. unfortunately my pre order for reverb g2 was refused because they don't sell to brazil, so i still can't enjoy my platform since ovrmc doesn't work well with "s" rift.

That was the info I needed, thanks for posting that!

I also have a 2080ti, and I have left the SS up to Steam for most things. With my powerful graphics, this means I always use more than 100% SS.

I nailed the SS to 100%, and what do you know? No more crashing! So Janio is the software tester of the month as far as I am concerned, and Dschadu now knows where to look.

For completeness sake: I have a 2080ti, Valve Index (So no Oculus software). Crashes were happening with any tracker (Physical Vive Tracker, Virtual PTMover) as soon as I activated it.

I'm very happy that I could be useful, I have a lot of hope in this dschadu software, without software like this, my motion simulator becomes useless. next year i will be able to buy the reverb g2 when it is available on amazon.com. in my rifts the ovrmc cannot work for the holl and there is also a square with dark edges that further reduces the fov, especially in maneuvers with a lot of inclination.

Hi everyone, SFX100 user here on a HP reverb.
i'm trying to solve a problem i have with motion and the reverb, that if i add a decent amount of sway the view gets shifted outside the car and tracking gets funky and keeps moving or even rotating.
Which exact parameter i have to play with in the tool?
    thanks a lot

I haven't had that problem yet with my HP Reverb, but unfortunately I am not even to the point of things working consistently yet :(

I finally completed my controller mount, but I have two dumb questions now:

    1) Is there a way that I can prevent the controller from going into idle mode? It seems like I lose tracking really quickly whenever the controller goes into idle mode from lack of motion.

    2) How do I hide the virtual image of the controller from showing within VR?

@Chipless If installed correctly, the tracking controller should not show once the SteamVR menu is exited after applying the motion cancellation.

I am having a similar issue as @fabioflyer where things run well for a few laps and then it starts to drift or it develops tunnel vision, where I get square black box & my view becomes severely restricted. I am wondering if this may be as a result of the controller going idle (?) or maybe to do with filter settings.

I kind of wish I had never tried the motion compensation as before I didn't know any better BUT now I really NEED it to work.

@Magus Thank you for the response. I am glad to hear the tracked controller shouldn't show. I must have installed something incorrectly, so I will just attempt to re-install.

I can't figure out how to prevent the controller from going idle though, which seems to cause a lot of issues. Yesterday, after it went idle, I couldn't even get OpenVR Motion Compensation to re-discover the controller diespite my best efforts.

I am hoping someone much smarter than me knows of a way to force the controllers to stay active (or at least one of them).
