In Oz as well with a similar backer number and have no idea either, seems to be more of a lucky dip rather than first come first served deliveries.

Backer 33## in OZ..spreadsheet says it's 'On the way to Overseas Warehouse'. So who knows.... Of note, is seems that the latest deliveries have a few changes from the originals that were sent out.

Changes? Have you an idea what are those changes? I'm quite curious.

    Thanks.
I have the old one. This is probably why I got it so soon. It did not break on its way.
Better plastic, slightly improved screen, stiffer cussion, heavier. I have mixed opinion about that.
But mine worked fine so far.

I think it's safe to assume that we're on the home stretch now. I'd say another month and the Aussie backers around that 4000 mark should have headsets in hand. But, you never know. Chinese New Year now so probably anything that hasn't left the country yet won't for at least another 3 or 4 weeks. The 'shipped to overseas warehouse' indicator has been on mine for a while so I think it's left China. I think by the end of Feb personally. Which is what I said last year when they promised all backers their headset would be shipped prior to Christmas. They were never going to be able to achieve that.

But hey only a year late, what's another 6 - 8 weeks....? :thumbs

First tests already done ;) iracing and assetto with very high graphics settings have a stable 90fps with my 2080ti.
It's really good, I'm very happy, oculus and vive is a lot lower level of VR. I've already forgotten about those 471 days of waiting ;)

Any chance you know what sort of GPU usage % you're getting?

I'm interested to see how the reduced hz modes work. Hopefully they're implemented soon.

uses 100% GPU capabilities, graphics settings in assetto and iracing are very high but not the highest possible.

Which CPU have you paired with that? and what % is it running when your GPU is maxed out in your example?

Im curious as Im looking into a 2080ti build myself and currently doing the research on parts. I have a 5k+ on the way which will trigger the purchase (backer 39xx)
Im actually trying to find the lowest AMD cpu possible that is close to maxing out without becoming the bottleneck itself.
Im betting on Zen 2 later in the year as a good upgrade that will last me many more years thereafter.
So Im trying to go with the cheapest possible AMD cpu to keep costs down initially. I'm even happy to take a small hit on performance and allow the cpu be the bottleneck for the short term.

Happy to hear if any flaws in my thinking. Its been a long time since Ive assembled a pc.

I bought a base station and a vive controller. everything works perfect . I expected big problems with the configuration of pimax itself - no problems. I expected bigger problems with adding base stations and controllers - no problems. everything works really good. I am very positively surprised.

I don't know what to do. I have a base station already purchased from Pimax in my pledge, but they are not going to be here before September apparently which is absolutely ridiculous.

Base stations are like 200 bucks on eBay. I paid $75 USD for the Pimax one. Who's going to buy mine when everyone that was waiting for their Pimax ones actually has them? Will the Pimax base stations at least work with the Vive? I guess people looking for an additional base station might scour eBay or similar sites before going official.

The headset will work but I don't want to use it if my whole car interior moves forward and back when I move my head closer to the dash....

I have a old PIMAX and when using it for cockpit sims it is not such a big deal, although it would be nice if it could track in those areas. The cars interior without tracking will not move forward and back when you move your head closer to the dash, it will stay at a set distance as there is no tracking.

Yeah that's what I mean. You can use it but it won't be fully usable until I get a base station. Hmmm...

Are you saying that nothing at all moves? As is, if you move your head forward it will be exactly the same as not moving at all? I could probably deal with that more than the whole image moving forward with my movement. Of course the normal way it works is that you move your head forward and in the VR space your head also moves, with nothing else moving.

I'd rather nothing move AT ALL than the whole picture move....
