If you’re using the original Dirt3 CD or a crack then at minimum you must set up an offline GFWL account in order to use it. But that not the issue it seems, only telemetry. You can get it from Steam now as mentioned without GFWL but since its Steam you still need internet access at least every now and then. But the issue is he said he won’t have internet access where he plans on setting up his rig.

    thank you all !

Hi noorbeast did you proceed in the following sequence :
1.) computer off and ethernet cable disconnect
    2.) start computer
3.) launch simtool and the game

Caution is misleading if the computer is already running simtool will work without ethernet cable ( In my case )

Window 7 is 64bits, the patch is ok.
We can exclude a problem with dirt 3 because i tested with the LFS games and the result is the same :-/
If you can confirm that with the manipulation above it works the problem would come from my computer
I live in a building with no room in my home to play
I instaler the simulator in my basement and it will be impossible to have access to the internet that is why I would like to solve the problem.
I'm surprised to be the only one with this problem but on the other hand I think that all the players on internet access..

Yes but when it was GFWL, you could create an offline account so you could save your game progress and run offline. Ive run both cracked and genuine versions of Dirt3 and now I run it on steam. And thats on windows 7 32 bit and 64 bit PC.
All I need now is a motion ride.

Actually, I used to run my sim out in my shop which did not have internet access. Motion worked fine with Dirt3.

Mine is wireless but it works fine if that is turned off.

That is exactly what I meant about about Googling the tools to get around the CD and connection restrictions
