    Hello everyone!

I'm very happy to share my new SimTools plugin for Project Motor Racing (v2 and v3 verions available below)

The plugin supports the following axes : Surge, Sway, Heave, Roll, Pitch, Yaw, Extra 1 (Forward Velocity in m/s), Extra 2 (Absolute Overall Speed in m/s)

    Note :
The raw telemetry is incredibly noisy (it transmits high-frequency tire noise and engine idle vibrations directly into the physics data). To prevent rigs from violently shaking, this plugin features a custom built-in Low-Pass Filter (LPF) perfectly tuned to aggressively smooth the raw telemetry while retaining the long, fluid motion forces of cornering and braking.

Because of the highly rigid suspension physics in GT/race cars, using the auto-capture feature in the Tuning Center might result in extremely small Max/Min limits for Roll and Pitch (e.g., 0.03). With such tiny limits, even the slightest engine vibration while idling in the pits will max out your rig!

Recommendation : If you feel intense vibrations when parked with the engine running, manually increase your Max/Min limits in the Tuning Center. This will easily desensitize the rig to idle vibrations while keeping the actual driving motion smooth.

Enjoy the track, and let me know if you have any feedback!

First, a huge thanks!! Is there a special technique to install? I drag the zip or the uncompressed folder into the plugin's window, nothing happens... just crashed Simtools

Thanks for your comment. I just tried installing the plugin through the Plugin Updater and it worked fine. Maybe you could try manually copying and pasting the files into their respective folders?

    • The .dll file in the GamePlugins folder

    • The banner file in the GameManager\GameBanners folder

    • The maxmin file in the GameEngine\MaxMinProfiles folder

This my SimTools 3 folder. There are no subfolders in it as you suggested above.

Sadly, even after moving each files manually to their folder, the plugin doesn't show up... but the blue error button does. Is there a minimum of Simtools version that is only compatible?

Do you know if it's hard to port it for 3.0?

Not very hard. I'll do a v3 version if it can help. I'll work on it

I would be very grateful for your effort. Perhaps, one day I can use vibe coding and create a plugin myself! :)
