    Hi Ralph,

Please remember that Nimas actuators broke, and that he used many rubber bands in order to achieve his angles. Placing the actuators into this lower position as opposed to higher on the seat also provided less leverage in my tests. I can't really tell from the pictures exactly what your actuator angles are because I cant see how much further down they go and the bottom side mounting location, so I can't say if your in for trouble or not, but I do think that it's safe to sayt that this design won't handle a 250lb driver. I dont know what your weight is, or if this is a concern for you.

I wouldnt recommend the SCN6 though. Why pay more for half the performance when you can just improve the actuator angles and go with the SCN5 with twice the speed for reproduction of road surface effects.

It's not so much the angle of the actuators, but rather their attachment point on the seat in relation to pivot point. It works much like the gearing on a bicycle. The greater the distance between the upper attachment point and the pivot, the less power need to move - the slower it moves - and the less distance it will travel. The opposite is true with less distance.

The SCN5 is very fast but not very powerful. To make up for this, we all mount our actuators further from the pivot point.

A good test for this is to put a friend in the seat. Now, disconnect any actuators and try to push the seat back and forth from the top (near the openings for the belts). Then try to push from the bottom where you have the actuators. You will feel a very big difference.

You can either do as Bernie suggests and alter your design, or you can keep your design and simply upgrade actuators. The fantastic thing about his controller is that you can use both SCN5's and SCN6's.

I can see that.... very nice. I like your ideas :)

Motion Pro II sales are going well. We are proving to be economy proof!

I'am just 60kg.. Finally i have my acturators!! Had to pay €170 euro's tax...
I tested my sim with my own design.. works perfect..drive already for 2 hours (I will make the acuator position higher to test)
It was easy to install every thing (great job Bernard!!)

    I have only 1 question:
I'am out of reach to set my seat straight..(mechnicly) I can set now my caliburation lower.. but then i haven't enough movement(travel) backwards..

Thanks All for your help!! I'am very happy with this result
Will set a video on the forum tomorrow

Hi Ralph. I'm glad that everything has worked out for you with the SX-3000 Motion Starter Kit so far.

With regard to your dimension issue, the best way to correct it is by making a sliding pedal tray. Adjustments made in the software to compensate for mechanical dimension problems always have a side-effect or consequence. You can try modifying a motion profile to have an asymetrical offset, but it wouild be much better to modify the mechanics and drive the profiles as they were intended.

I'm looking forward to the video.

    Hi Ralph,

Looks good. One quick question though...why when turning does only one actuator seem to be moving. I am accustomed to seeing one actuator lift while the other lowers. It look in theis video in several places that when turning, one actuator lifts, but the other does not lower? Is this done to allow these actuator angles, or are my eyes deceiving me?

    Hi Ralph,

Looks good. I keep noticing the same thing where only one actuator is doing some of the turning. Can you post the motion profile so I can have a look. Typically, motion profiles are designed to use both actuators in opposite when turning. This is an interesting idea because it would allow sims with less than optimal actuator angles (not saying that yours is btw) to have less risk of damage. How does this feel to you?

I only changed the asymetrical offset in Nima's biturbo profile .. I needed to do that because my seat was not straight..
It's feels good so far.. I only need some more backwards travel.. my limiter is still on.. same with the rubber blocks..
Will test tomorrow some more.. I don't have my profile here at home..
I tested also the openwheel profile.. What a sensation!!

I think I will ajust the upper bar tighter..

    Hi Guys...

Today a Friend of my raced for 1 hour in my sim.. His weight was 250 Lbs not a problem for the actuators..
The Actuators were just 40 45 degree i think..

And also a child of 8 years old.. with some pillows behind his back.. even not a problem

Now i quite playing and finsh my sim.. it's so addictive..

Will post some pic when it's finished...

And btw did you see this sim..

yes this look better.the hardware limiter is in the scn5 plugin.if you not have the limiter you mast have a limiter or scaler on the end of the profil.my new profils have a 10% scaler my old have a 10% limiter in the profil.but on this video i mean do have the hardwarelimiter of.the drive on the video looks nice.
