    Something I read is that the worm gear needs some time to break-in and run better but....:confused:

    From all the test you did, I really think your motor is just not really efficient. It may be strong but just not efficient.

    Yes, you and Adgun warned it to me. I needed (and still) to rule out all other options before considering this option that makes more and more real.

    Yesterday at late I disassembled the gearbox to check how hard it is to move and it is really easy to turn:

    (I don't know why can't embed that video as media but there is a video of me turning the gearbox by hand)

    And there is an image of the motor. I test it without the gearbox and it have a LOT of torque when i plug it to the PS. The current is about 2-3 amps connected to 24V and also the axis is relatively easy to turn by hand (I noticed the magnets force btw)

    i suspect your motors are not really 750w at all and they have to work very hard to try and do the work of a 750w motor

    reduce the length of the lever arms and all should be good

    I see on the motor a round shaft if it have a keg take it out.
    Put a wrench on the shaft and let the motor turn , give some presher with the wrench and look what the current does

    Some specifications regarding your motor indicate that the motor is intended to operate within a current range of 40 to 80 amperes (A) under normal, continuous operating conditions. It's relatively high... With this level of consumption, I'm not even certain if the Sabertooth 2x60 would be sufficient. Anyway, I wish you the best of luck; I know it's not enjoyable when encountering this type of problem.

    Wouldn't that be very dangerous? The motor speed is 2400rpm and the wrench will shoot out. If I put the wrench to the gearbox shaft and the motor connected directly to the PS (No controller) is impossible to stop it but I can see the current raising to 25A while push down with part of my weight but that test is also dangerous, in fact doing that test I got a wound on my hand.

    My motor consumes 46,8A. The model that consumes +80A is the 12V model. I wish it will work too coz I made a big investment with these motors.

    Hello again, this week I received a couple of Sabertooth 2x60. I'm still having the high amperage issue but there are HUGE differences on how these boards performs. After some tests the boards are runing perfect without too much temperature. BTW I'm using batteries (two 95Ah car batteries in series to get 24V).

    At the motor outputs I'm measuring very very low voltage while running, (maybe) that is the reason of the high current but IDK. I'm waiting for a TTL USB controller to try to tune the Sabertooth with Describe.

    But this is another board so I stop talking about this board in this thread and I'll continue with my 3DOF building thread.

    I want to tell to all of you very very thanks to all the help, Thank you thank you and thank you.

    Seems strange you are getting such a voltage drop. What volts and amps are you seeing

    Did you run 2 x 12v batteries with the other drivers ?

    Yes and the same behavior, the voltave at the board output drops to 2-3 volts with the 100a board and to 6-7 volts withe sabertooth. It may be due the pwm cicle, right?

    Yeah pwm sends quick pulses of voltage (24v in your case) to control the motor. Depending on your reader it may not read it correctly.

    This is great.. I was looking for a driver for two wheelchair motors that peak at 100A. Which I think is high but specs are specs... Any chance of a sample sketch? Which library to use?
