Looks good bud, hopefully the license comes through before to long. Your setup is exactly as mine (except I'm going for under the seat mounting vs back of the seat). Do you by chance have a wiring diagram for your build? I'm doing the exact same thing where I have 1 motor for each MM.

Yeah I saw the post, but it only has the diagram for the MM wired for two motors for one MM. I did see further down in the post where it shows a wiring diagram for 1 MM/1Motor to the Arudino. and then a wiring description for multi motors, but the text says, "If you want to connect 3 MM please wire described as follows:" so I wasn't sure if it was applicable for 2 MM.

Here is the wiring diagram for this setup.

    MotoMonsterSetup_single-motor-driver_final.jpg
    and for the additional motors:

    Arduino -------- Monster Moto
    2 (Motor 1 H-Bridge ENA) ---------------7 and 8 (INA1 and INB1)
    3 (Motor 1 H-Bridge ENB)----------------4 and 9 (INA2 and INB2)
    9 (Motor 1 PWM) --------------------------5 and 6 (PWM1 and PWM2)
    Arduino -------- Monster Moto 2
    4 (Motor 2 H-Bridge ENA) ---------------7 and 8 (INA1 and INB1)
    5 (Motor 2 H-Bridge ENB)----------------4 and 9 (INA2 and INB2)
    10 (Motor 2 PWM) --------------------------5 and 6 (PWM1 and PWM2)
    Arduino -------- Monster Moto 3
    6 (Motor 1 H-Bridge ENA) ---------------7 and 8 (INA1 and INB1)
    7 (Motor 1 H-Bridge ENB)----------------4 and 9 (INA2 and INB2)
    11 (Motor 1 PWM) --------------------------5 and 6 (PWM1 and PWM2)
    The outputs:
A1 and B1 will have the SAME polarity
A2 and B2 will have the SAME polarity, too.

Thanks bud that was what I was thinking, I'm assuming your just omitting the 3d monster (pins 6,7,11) on the arudino?

Yeah correct, i'm not doing the traction loss motor just yet. That will be the next phase of the build.

Trying to test the motors with the smc3 utility, but I cannot get them to move. Everthing powers up. the utility connects to the adruino, but no movement.

I also went ahead and bought the pro version of simtools because its been 1 week since I applied for my diy license and still no response, so I got fed up of just waiting without hearing anything.

Did you test out the MM and measure the outputs before hooking up the motors directly? I know some users have had issues with MM quality.

Nope, unfortunately I didn't do that because I didntt have a meter available to use.

If you can try to buy an inexpensive one, I got mine from a local hardware store for about $20. It's going to be hard to do any type of troubleshooting without one. It'll also help you troubleshoot further. I know for my setup (did sodering last night for my 2 MM) I had issues with my MM and then when investigating I realized I had a broke lane on my PCB for the MM. Having a meter lets you determine if you have shorts or breaks in addition to what your outputs are going to be.

Clone MMs can often be faulty, here are various approaches to testing them: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/reputable-monster-moto-suppliers-testing-before-use.158/

With respect to issuing DIY licenses you were advised by email on the 28/6/18 that disruptions have been caused when Xsimulator.net was recently moved to a new server, and that you would be notified by email when that was resolved. It is unfortunate but @RaceRay has been traveling, so we await his return, he is aware of the issue. Please keep in mind that members contribute their time and expertise to maintain Xsimulator.net, create plugins and assist others...sometimes members just have to be a little patient. That said in my view the Pro version of SimTools is well worth it, particularly for the additional integrated functionality like Game Vibe.

Step #4 in the setup process says to edit file for mode being used:

    1. Download the SMC3 software attached to this post (SMC3.ino)
    2. Get the Arduino IDE tools installed on your computer if you don't already have them. Follow the Arduino Getting Started guide found here: http://arduino.cc/en/Guide/Windows (Note the step for installing the drivers!)
    3. Open the SMC3.ino with the Arduino IDE
    4. Edit the code at the top if the file to select the MODE you will be using
    5. Compile and Download the SMC3.ino program to your Arduino UNO R3
How do I do that? I open it in adruino program but dont know what to change, or is it okay as is?

Power supplies are feeling pretty hot even though the motors haven't moved. Is that normal?

Couldn't be bothered with these unreliable monster moto, so ordered 1 of these.

OKay, I got the motors moving, but now I cant figure out how to use the smc3 utilities software. Do I need to configure that before I go to simtools?

Thanks for that, I will be going through it in depth, but 1 of the motors has stopped responding and I suspect its the monster moto, so i'm just gonna wait on the sabertooth to arrive and then dive back into it.
