    @SilentChill, are you still using the 6x670w Dell Psu with these actuator with the parvalux motor or you had to upgrade for more amps?

    No i am using 6 LED switching 40 amp power supplies with a car battery now. There is a post i think on page 25 i think where I posted pictures of my upgrade for the actuators. The server PSU's kept tripping out all the time where as the chinese LED PSU's are great they just keep on working :)

    Sorry for hijacking but after reading everything from @SilentChill, @SeatTime and @wannabeaflyer2 regarding the 6DOF platform with linear actuators I have a hard time finding Parvalux PM90 or equivalent motors online (You bought everything :roll) and motiondynamics motors are a bit too expensive. In your oppinion are these motors overkill or it's ok to take the leap and buy 6+2 until they last? :)
    It appears I can't post links yet so it's about these motors on ebay ==> NEW-12V-DC-Electric-Motor-0-65HP-at-3500RPM-CW

    Forgot to post these pics, I got a new 800w amp and got my transducers hooked up.

    The effect was pretty amazing just using the LFE on the amp, the revs and bumps are just great. Feel the vibrations on the pedals and all through the rig and under legs/bum/back :D

    Can't wait for gamevibe to be ready @yobuddy hint hint.

    Went through your whole thread, all 41 pages of them. Incredible work; especially how you managed to change big things in very little time.

    If you can spare a few minutes, I'd like to know a few things.

    Have you sat in and/or driven sports cars on race tracks? How would you say the feeling is compared to your platform?

    The actuators you've made, what is the maximum weight they have lifted? Like, the biggest person to have sat in your platform.

    What do you feel provides more fun? Bigger range of motion with less accuracy or more resolution with smaller range of motion?

    Big thanks for your whole thread. It has a vast amount of information. I will use a lot of what you've learned in my own build which I'll post about later.

    A sincere apology as I had to make 2 back-to-back posts and I know the mod team might not like it very much. Please edit this post into my previous post if any issue.

    I wanted to ask you, since you've run Monster Moto drivers in the past and are now using Sabertooth drivers. How would a middle ground, say Sparkfun Monster Motos be? Considering that Sparkfun's QC will be better, wouldn't it be better to spend a third of what the Sabertooth 2x60 costs? Or rather, end up with 3MMs for the price of one Sabertooth 2x60? I don't feel like the Sabertooth offers anything (within the requirements of powering the motors, extra features notwithstanding) more than the Sparkfun MMs.

    Never driven a on a race track

    Heaviest person I have had on was 18 stone and it coped quite well

    Somewhere in the middle, I use to like the big movements but now its a lot less than it use to be and feels better for car driving but for Flightsim bigger is better IMO.

    Thanks for reading hope it creates a baby of some sort :p

    I would never use MM's again apart from using them for small projects moving small motors.

    The sabertooths you get what you pay for and they are pretty indestructible and are worth every penny, I have not had 1 single issue with them since I installed them. A lot less wiring to contend with and good support from the manufacturer.

    If everything was running at full whack (which it doesn't) it would be around 2000w with a big 12v battery in paralell

    I think the 6DOF with Oculus Rift or Vive can give a total game immersion...
    I have to find the time to finish at least my humble 2DOF! :grin You gave me new inspiration :)

    I'm getting to the part the most complicated ... tweaking ..

    Question, how are you dealing with YAW in racing sim ?, for example dirt rally ?

    Do you disable it ?, do you use the washout function ?

    Another question, won't it be more realist to have acceleration simulated by pitch ?
    It seems that in dirt rally pitch and roll are only link to pitch and roll of the car ...

    During accel & decel if the pitch is going in the good direction it would be better no ?

    I use traction loss instead of Yaw. I use the 2 middle actuators and back 2 actuators for traction loss.
    For surge acceleration I have the platform go forwards and pitch up slightly and opposite for deceleration
    However the surge in Dirt rally is not the best it's very snappy so I now use more axis but use quite a bit of smoothing

    Motor details are all here some where they are paravalux PM90 I think. Max weight I have had on the platform is 18stone person + platform, seat, fans, HOTAS, bass shakers, harness, keyboard, mouse , 12kg OSW and pedals

    Have a look at some of @SeatTime videos he use BFF which has proper 6dof I have kinda tried to copy what his does all be it not very well lol :D
