Re: Riton' 2DOF project with AC gearhead motors

    thanks

I use variable frequency, (inverter is the good name??) they are 10V input, and yes, I use the analog input.
I also put in -100 force profile in dynamical speed control.
I searched long how to operate the engine and drive frequency
there is no specific setting for our platform in force profiler.
I am forced to adapt, but it works very well!

Strength control slider is inverted too, you noticed?

Re: Riton' 2DOF project with AC gearhead motors

after discussion with Nima, I discovered a problem with speed.
I use Dynamic speed, but my variable frequency speed analog use.

conversion of analog PWM is not good, x sim uses + / - 5V to an axis in positive and negative, and x sim can not give good indication of my speed engines

I think this is not possible with x sim.
should be a real management in x sim for analog speed
    For example:
output for the + X axis: 0 to 100% speed with variable speed from 0 to100%
output for the -x axis: speed 0 to 100% speed with variable speed from 0 to100%
    ditto for Y ....
    I am looking for help
Here are some schema to include:

diagram simulateur nouvelle config 1 dac board.jpg

    speed 3 diagram.jpg
    thanks for help

Re: Riton' 2DOF with AC gearhead motors/ need help for speed

    Hi Riton,

Great setup, especially that you use AC motors - there's plenty of power and you can just plug it into any socket and it works!
Can you please let us know what kind of motors do you use (how much power) and what is the gearbox rate?

    regards, Pooh.

Re: Riton' 2DOF with AC gearhead motors/ need help for speed

i need help, have you somes idea, informations....
    in dynamic speed :

-100 %................ 0 have the speed to the negative axis and 0 .................. ......+ 100% was the rate for the positive axis
but the trouble is that converted to analog, it gives a variation of speed completely sucks, the -100% seems to be 0 and 0 becomes 2.5 V
    and 100% becomes 5V
You need a change from 0 to 5V per axis makes

    thanks

Re: Riton' 2DOF with AC gearhead motors/ need help for speed

Can you post datasheets of the equipment you are using? DtoA converter, AC phase inverter, Wellman control board please.

Also, your outputs and settings and what signals are going into each stage, so I understand exactly what is going on.

Re: Riton' 2DOF with AC gearhead motors/ need help for speed

    it's really easy to understand!
    not require technical documentation

I use the velleman card , the digital output for the direction , and the analog output for the speed, I transform the PWM signal to analog with the small card (DAC BOARD PWM converter ) (the analog output gives the same result directly)
just looking at my diagram above for the links, we understand.

Xsim not give the speed of analog output, PWM only, that's my problem.
    section dynamic speed in synaptrix

there is no other way in XSIM to have a speed control Dynamics Output Card

    speed effect is given
    speed effects:
    -100% .............0.................+100% for PWM
    -100% = 0V ........................0=2,5V ..............................+100% =5V
for example for X axis:in PWM
    -100% = 0V ........................0=2,5V for the negatif axis ( for exemple, i think it's correct ...)
    0=2,5V ..............................+100% =5V for positif axis

but for me, in analog output i have just only one speed : -100% = 0V ........................0=2,5V
    my maximum speed i 2,5V , not 5V

I have not properly accounted for the speed
I need a real speed analog output for each half axis
    for - X analog variable speeds from 0 to 5V, 0% to 100%
    + X for an analog variable speed from 0 to 5V, 0% to 100%
    for - Y analog variable speed from 0 to 5V, 0% to 100%
    + Y to an analog variable speed from 0 to 5V, 0% to 100%
is very simple, but nobody understands me .....

Re: Riton' 2DOF with AC gearhead motors/ need help for speed

I understand your problem, but we are only talking about what you want to achieve and not how you will do it.

In order to do what you want, you have to understand the hardware and it's capabilities. If the hardware cannot do what you need, you have to look into something else.

To understand your problem of course I don't need technical knowledge. Now I understand the problem, but in order to help you fix it, I will need technical documentation, and I will need you to measure values.

Re: Riton' 2DOF with AC gearhead motors/ need help for speed

I don't understand why someone can not just answer to my problem!
It is said that XSIM works this way:
    3 Reference 4 picture
    http://www.x-simulator.de/wiki/Pneumatic

my setup is the same, but with a variable frequency, and a motor. (look my diagram)
people here are all very intelligent and capable of manufacturing simulators! It's easy to understand what I did!
    I did a lot of schematic ....

X Sim said that it works, I said no
if x sim can do, I want you to show me how
I just want you to tell me how if possible!

it is 2 years that I talk about this issue, initially I had no experience but I learned many things alone, can I ask for help .....
in 2 years I do a lot of tests but nothing works correctly for the speed

Re: Riton' 2DOF with AC gearhead motors/ need help for speed

Well, I haven't worked with any of that so unfortunately I cannot tell you what to do.

I have some knowledge in electronics, so what I CAN do is point you in the right direction and help you along the way.

Your setup is not the same. That page does not give you details, only examples and simple diagrams.

I don't have enough information on your project to help with your problems. Yes, I read all the pages here. If you want me to try and help, please post your lot of schematics, part numbers, signals, and anything that could help resolve your problem. After all, it is your simulator.

Re: Riton' 2DOF with AC gearhead motors/ need help for speed

    thank you for your help
but this conversation does not advance my problem and nobody on this forum understands my problem is quite simple ...

there was just one question and one answer:
    Question:
how to give an analogue speed setpoint in XSIM? not PWM, but analogue

Re: Riton' 2DOF with AC gearhead motors/ need help for speed

I need official explanation for dynamic speed
    how dynamic walking speed, which corresponds to -100 %....... 0 ........+ 100%
    I think -100% = 0v and 0 = 2.5v and 5v = 100% is correct??
Is there 2 variable speed PWM? one between 0 and2.5v and one between 2.5v and 5v?? is correct?

Who uses dynamic speed here?? I need to speak with someone who understands this function and uses
    thank you
