    Hi Henning,

I want to compliment you for the beautiful sim that you've built,
I started by buying SCN5 actuators to build my own sim.
I have a question about the profiles you used
Do you have a list of the sizes of the profiling, it would be building my sim a lot easier when i have the correct dimensions of the profiles.

Which profiles do you use the 40mm or 45mm
What is the total length of the frame. I mean what is length of the two outer profiles

    Also jetzt zum Thema:

    To Pascal:
First to the used Profiles: They are all System 8, that means a slot that opening is 8mm wide. Profiles were mostly 40*40, and some 80*40 and 120*40.
    Total length is 202cm.

I said it in another German board, and some folks came and took the chance for my offer: Who is in the area of Stuttgart, or is willing to make this journey, can make a testdrive on my sim. It might help you in you planing or decision of building an own sim

    Thanks for responding,

It is shame that you so much time spent in describing your project, and then everything to lose.
But if you still have a copy of data, you can send it by email. ;)

I would like a ride in your sim but Stuttgart => Hoogerheide (Netherlands) is 600km is a bit too far

    Pascal,

You can buy the profiles also in the Netherlands, i have built a rig about two years ago with the same profiles.
I will search for the invoice to get the supplier details.

Ok thanks, i now there are more suppliers in the Netherlands, thats not the real problem.
the difficulty is the exact size of aluminum profiles :(
So I can order the correct size of the profiles.

This looks like a very intresting upgrade to a great sim setup already.

I cant wait for the video.

Will you have enough power with scn5s to shif the weight?

I have wait for the cable for the actuator. One parcel got lost on the way from the US; so I have to wait a little longer for the second. The sim is moving extremly easy. You can push it with your index finger and then you have to stop it again, because it would roll and roll and roll. It should work with an SCN5, but I have a 29kg SCN6 with 200mm travel. So I can mount it more in the center of the sim. It has enough force, and due to the lever reduction, I got more travel out of it. (test and calculated at the back where the slider plates are 15cm in each direction)
