You have to check if the simulator moves intentionally or if its a hardware fault. seen some cheap potentiometers do those things. If you dont sit in the simulator when testing, the added weight can also make it behave different when you use it :)

    Hello everyone,
I wanted to get in touch again. Basically things are going much better now, I have changed all the min/max values and it reacts much better than before, but not yet as I would like. Unfortunately, when accelerating while changing gears, the seat hardly moves backwards, but the brakes, which are also "surge", are very good. In addition, the simulator is still very rough, so when you drive into a curve it often goes straight into the curve and doesn't adapt well to the steering movements. Could it also be that the PC is too weak and can't process the whole thing with 3x 24 inch Full HD and all the motion input? The following is installed: A GTX 1070 8gb with a Ryzen 5 2600 and 16gb 3200mhz.

I doubt it is the PC, if it can run a modern game without issue then the small resources needed for motion are not going to be a problem.

More likely your tuning needs some further work. It would help if you upload pictures of all of your settings, including the Max\Min values while the game is running.

You can manually set different Max\Min values to tune the gear shift kick and surge to your liking.

I have recently purchased the SimTools v3 beta and am trying to sort it all out. Could someone please tell me what the Profile Intensity slider in the lower right corner of the main window is controlling? By the name, it should be intuitive but, I don't seem to see any difference in my 2dof rig.

For a given profile it adds some global smoothing to all settings.

Thanks for the quick answer! I am pretty new to setting up my just finished diy platform and what I have found is that when flying my rig in vr and motion activated in MSFS, it feels like I'm sitting in a cockpit with some loose bolts in the seat. It's just so much fun though! Thanks for the help.

If your using the alpha version still, it's definitely time to switch to the beta version.

V3 alpha was the initial development, which is now obsolete, v3 Beta is the current development, that will eventually lead to the v3 release.
