Sorry, let me clarify, I'm not saying the ST3 plugin is FUBAR I'm saying it seems like the War Thunder telemetry data is FUBAR and the API (if any) gives data that needs to be interrupted in specific ways (i.e. hard to build middleware e.g. ST2 & ST3 plugins) or data that is not complete (i.e. certain planes don't have telemetry data).

FYI - I tried using extra2 (pitch) and extra3 (roll) out but didn't get any movement.
    • Does this thread help with anything for the ST3?
    • Still not sure what plane I should be using for testing. (Wyvern, from Slawko is paid content so I don't have access to it).

SimTools v2 plugins are not compatible with v3.

    Hi Guy's,
The new War Thunder plugin has been posted. (with the same output order as the v2 plugin) :thumbs

With the limited roster of vehicles we have, we were using the P-26A-34 M2. We could not get the usual roll and pitch to work, but we have a pretty limited number of vehicles to test with.

Thank You for the hard work. I'll use that plane for testing, update the plugin and post what I find on my rig.

Question: When you say you could not get the usual roll and pitch to work. What do you use on your sim to get it going? Roll2, pitch2?

I mean that the roll and pitch output seemed missing from the limited planes that I used. But this is a one-2-one of the v2 plugin, so if pitch and roll output is working in v2, then it should also work in v3.
The only valid replacements for pitch and rill are listed as extra 1 thru 3 (just like the v2 plugin). Thou as you have seen, they are not perfect replacements. Surge however, I believe is working a ton better.

Anyway, I have a feeling they may have removed the traditional roll and pitch output we used to have assess to in their last big update. Time will tell thou, As i know I have not scratched the surface of the vehicles available.
    Take care,
    yobuddy

Hi Guys I still didn't manage to make F1 2024 work on sim tools V3... I copied the same settings that I had in F1 2023 and still didn't manage to make it work. If I start the game from Simtools I see the Data going into Sim Tools but the traction loss doesn't work properly it works a bit in the beginning than it stops. I linked Sim Tools to Simhub so I can use the the Traction loss and pugs at the same time.

I don't have F1 2024, but just a check, when using 2 programs have you ensured there is a UDP pass on, rather than conflict, in how ports are configured?

    Thanks YoBuddy,
Did some tests using the P-26A-34 M2 and premium plane XP-50. Good news is both had the same behavior.
    • Note: I removed my current plugin and installed the new one to get a "fresh" start for testing.
    • Roll and Pitch don't do anything on either.
    • Roll Degrees and Pitch elevator position don't do anything on either
    • It seems to work with Sway and Surge (the default settings) as they do respond but I think because it is sway it doesn't seem to simulate the "roll" feeling I.e. doing "scissors" is really weird. But it is better than no movement and I understand sway is not roll.
    • Surge also acts like "pitch" (but the directions are reverse from other game settings) which makes landing and takeoffs feel weird again better than no movement and I understand Surge is not pitch.
    • Note: I don't have ST2 to compare against so hopefully Slawko will be able to compare/confirm behavior between ST2 and ST3

We have a mfs 2024 plugin ready for testing, but as most people know, the game was broken on release. Now that a patch has been issued for the game, we should be able to get to testing later today.
