SimTools v3 Public Beta

Ok, havn't launched SimTools during the holidays. Did it today.

Suddenly, when it started the program, I had an error message about my interface settings. I went to the interface settings page and all fields were suddenly emptied. Tried to set it up again through the plugin setup page, but it didn't seem to work at all. Seems to be no contact between my motion rig (Nj Motion Evo) and SimTools.

I have checked all the USB cables and such.

What happened?

I Always get a Squadrons_GamePlugin start Error in StarWars Squadrons. Very frustrating... Any Idea?
I patched the game over and over...

I tried but there is an error message:
The device does not support symbolic links...
Ah, OK, got it, hard drive was formatted exfat

Please disregard this post. Actually it was sth wrong with the USB-cable from the seatmover to my pc. Now I have connected the cable directly to the motherboard and it works again.

I'm now running out of USB ports on my pc though. :-(

After i created interface for my 2dof, when run 'test settings', Axis2a start at wrong position, by right it should at the middle, but it went up to 80%. For Axis1a no problems. Im using windows 11 in non English. Would like to ask, Simtools V3 still have this bug - 'SimTools Language setting bug - Change to English Local' ?

I not yet reach the game motion setting or parking location. I test Axis motion in interface.
* in SMC3 utilities it works fine.

Simtools 3 has been working great with my rig and Thanos AMC controller. I'm moving over to a new more powerful computer and it's not responding now.

I know I've set it up correctly mechanically because sim racing studio works as expected but when I hit test on simtools I get no response at all.

I try not to jump to a forum first thing, but with "nothing" as a starting point I'm not sure what I'm even troubleshooting so I'm hoping you guys can point me in the correct direction.

Yes, I am registered once again.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times so currently I don't have most settings. I figured I'd work until I got one motor to respond before I put it all back in.

I apricate you taking the time to look at it. I don't think it's an issue here though because my system has an "active" state it will switch to when I press "test settings" and currently nothing happens on the new computer. as a reminder it does work with another sim program and works in simtools on the old machine.

after re-reading what you said I searched for what more settings you may want to see. I had not set up this one.

I was hoping to import my settings. I see the export wizard but it's a little unclear how the import works.

Simtools 2 and 3 are similar enough in most cases to use one guide for the other but that's not the case with loading a backup. When I do a search about it I get instructions for the plugin updater for 2 but I don't know what the equivalent for 3 is so I'm still looking for guidance.

I actually suggest adding an "import wizard" next to the export one for clarity to new comers.
