    Fixed - Offline Mode.

    After the SimTools update, please make sure your online and go to the Registration page and click 'Check License'. You can now restart SimTools without the internet and it will work just fine. And if your offline with SimTools already running and you want to download a plugin, you can just connect to a network without restarting SimTools. A restart is not required to use the plugin manager. :D

    The play button does not work when you try to pause and rerun the motion.
    Simtools must be exit and then run again.

    anyway, play again, the actuator shakes violently for a moment and then operates. I'll take a video of this and upload it.

    used thanos amc controller

    When stopped and restarted, it moves normally after abnormal operation like an video.

    More specifically... If restart before entering parking mode, will see those symptoms.

    If wait long enough to enter parking mode and then restart, it will operate normally.

    By 'parking mode', do you mean the amc option of the thanos card?
    If so, can you turn the option off, and verify that it works correctly?

    Hum... Can adjust the speed and position, but... Unable to turn off auto park functionality completely.

    Thought I should post : Screen grabs will follow later as not at machine atm


    Simtools V3 version : Current (20/02/23)
    Motor plugin : SCN
    Motion rig : Prosimu T1000 3M
    Game plugin : Dirt Rally 2 - patched

    Problem : Pitch not working / Registering a value of 90 for pitch input on tuning control.
    resulting juddery experience relying on Heave/ Surge.
    Fixes tried. -
    Removal / reinstallation of patch - no change.
    Removal re download plugin - no change.

    Repeatable Side note . Hard to put into short phrasing
    Running Sim tools V2.55 Dirt rally 2 game after patching the V3 version game exhibits exactly same problem as v3 ( 90 pitch) -
    Removal / addition of V2.55 game patch resolves the condition . but returns if Patching of game for v3 done afterward.

    Start up cycle of Actuators on initialisation of V3 : Return to park after cycle - very sharp .
    ----

    Didnt know if you have had a preferred bug format .

    System PC - Win 10 ( 21/H2)
    Rzyen 5900X 32Gb X570 Rig connect via USB on exclusive USB 3 header added to Mobo ( not a PCie riser)

    As I drive in VR the last 2 grabs are the before I start and after finish in the capture moment.

    Most probably doing something terribly wrong but its one plug in ~I cant use for V3..

    That is not bug. Usually when you stop motion data from the PC, the actuators will move to standby position 50% for a few seconds, to level the platform if the motion stopped with the rig positioned on angle. Then after a few seconds will lower all actuators to park position.

    Now if you start the motion before it reaches park position, it will not engage the soft positioning to ready position (50%) but instead could jump to whatever positions the motion software is sending as it thinks its still in on-line mode and needs to move in real time.

    Do you have the spike filter enabled? It should handle such situations preventing jumps from motion data spikes.

    @Ochso,
    The 2 plugins are not 1:1, so you can either play this game with v2 or v3.
    If you want to go back and forth between the two, you will need to repatch for the version you want to use.

    This is fixed in the newest version.
    Please remove the plugin and restart simtools v3.
    Then reinstall the plugin from the repo and see how it goes.

    I guessed as much as I noticed V2.5 ran on Custom udp enabled and the V3 didnt .

    Unfortunately the V6 DR2 plug was the one I used . (My fault for not putting the patch version in post ) .

    Nevertheless I uninstalled the patch and re installed.
    Unfortunately the problem still persists on V3.
    Its no biggie for me as my original set up for v2 took ages to set up . So I dont mind using it for DR2

    Hi, just wondered if plugin updates are things yobuddy can do semi-automatically by adjusting v2 plugins or does a developer who has the appropriate game have to write it from scratch? MSFS for example.

    Working plugin now crashes after latest update. I have a GT7 plugin I wrote myself based off the DirtRally example that was working. After the latest update I pulled (today), SimTools crashes (disappears) without message after I hit play on the plugin. The plugin works ok when testing using Game_PluginTester_v2. Any ideas on how I can debug this and figure out whats going on?

    Can I go back a version (or 2) on Simtools?

    Please note that you have to restart simtools v3 after you remove the plugin, and before you install it again.
    Or you will just get back to the same position you were in the first place.

    Depends on how old the plugin is.
    A lot of plugins needed updating anyway, so it's not a bad thing to go thru them and fix them all up.
