I couldn't get f1 22 to work with vr and motion on simtools 3 at the same time. I am new to vr on pc but just can't work out how to get motion in vr.
If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be appreciated. If i boot f1 from the plugin it works with motion but no vr. If I boot from steam, vr works but no motion.

I don't have F1 22, but likely you just need to update the path by dragging the correct exe with appropriate flags on to the SimTools banner: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/simtools-v3-public-beta.17329/page-31#post-236914

From steam, make a desktop shortcut that launches the game in vr.
Then drag drop the shortcut onto the banner of the game.
(or do what noorbeast said above, if you have separate exe's to launch for desktop vs vr mode.)
    Take care!

    Johnny-come-late here. :p

Not sure if anyone has had this issue, but when I tried to tick "Check for Running Games" (or something to that effect) ST crashed AND I could not restart it. It said SimTools is already running. I checked the task manager and could not see the exe or a process for it. I'm guessing it creates a file when it's lauched and deletes it when you shut down. I tried to delete the "junk1.remove" in the game plugins folder, but I couldn't because it also said "the file is open in SimTools".

I had to restart to be able to fire up SimTools again.

I must say, though, v3 is very responsive when using the ED plugin. I get more range than in v2.6 with the same exact settings. The Washout filter seems more refined and feels smoother than in v2.6.

    AWESOME JOB YOBUDDY!!!

I will take a look, all I can think is one of the plugins is the problem.
A lot of work has been done to the washout filter, glad you like it!

Hi, one problem showed up after update of simtools v3.
After update when i try to test motors in simtools, both motors start to turn all around (360deg) and spinning until i turn off the whole rig. I am using wiper motors, arduino nano, bt-2 brigdes, and couple of potensiometers. Simple rig.
What i found, if i uninstall whole simtools v3, and reinstall from old installer it works again. So basically i just can not update. Maybe others have the same issue so might be helpful for someone. I am using simtools V 3.0 Beta

    What old installer buddy?
The v3 installer always pulls the latest version is why I ask.

SimTools just sets the target to where the motor should go, your interface controls the 'how to do that', so I don't understand how both motors could start spinning 360 is all.
    Can you simulator do 360's?
    Chat soon,

Well the installer always pulls the latest release, so my guess is you are up to date.

    Are you using wiper motors?
Are they isolated from your simulators frame?
All i can think of off hand.

There is simply not a plugin for "raceroom racing experience" yet is all.
    Take care,

Yes, wiper motors, had no problem for a few months. And yes they are without any pcb inside, i connected wires straight to motors pins. As long i turn off auto update it works fine.

This makes no sense thou buddy, the update and the installer pull the same file, and SimTools physically can not spin your motors in 360. So I'm guessing you have a ground isolation problem, where the outside of the wiper motor is grounded. Since the frame is metal (I'm assuming) it means anything connected to the frame is now grounded out too.
