    Hi,

Question about Roll rate, pitch rate and yaw rate. Is there a discussion or guide about those? What are their functions and how they should/could be applied (mostly in car racing sims) ? My RBR is showing those rates when I record min/max values. Are they enabled, do they have an effect?

For example in RBR I have roll rate set to about 79 for WRC Hyundai i20 2021. What does that mean and what is supposed to happen if I

    a) put it to zero
    b) increase the value (slider up)
    c) decrease the value(slide down)?

    Thanks in advance!

The rate outputs, output data only when their value is changing.
    a) a zero turns it off.
    b) Makes it less sensitive but with more range.
    c) Makes it more sensitive with less range.

Take a look at the sliders virtual plugin, it will let you see what happening with each DOF.
    Take care,

    75 what buddy?
    Do you mean Intensity slider?
If so, then yes, as it now has relatively the same range as in v2.

Sorry just understand it's normal.... but for me, it was better before.. to manage the intesity when i use VR or not for example... Know it's 100% or nothong, because under, it's very too slow.
Do u think it's possible to come back to the previous version ? just for my case for sure...

Try around 90% if you used 75% before.
There is just more range available is all.

I've tried, i've put 90/95/98, but the only way to have "normal" speed i'ts 100% at 95% it's like 30 whith the prévious version.

Hello everyone, I am using simtools v3 with ETS2 plugin.
I have a problem with the "Yaw Rate: Acceleration" output, as you can see in the video, for example, the Pitch output is a continuous value, with a movement of stable values, but the problem is the yaw rate output (also pitch rate and roll rate), this movement is not "steady", I mean, It goes from a "x" value to 0 and then to "x" value and again to 0, this make the simulator so unstable, producing a very uncomfortable back and forth movement.
    How can I fix this?
    Thanks in advance.

Roll, Pitch and Yaw are in degrees and continuous values, so you can use these values if you want continuous values.

Roll Rate, Pitch Rate and Yaw Rate outputs only the rate of change.
(Basically the current input - the last input.)
With the rate outputs, you will want to use with the washout filter for best results.
    Take care,
    yobuddy

    Good morning

I just tested it quickly and I found a perfect adjustment range, I can perfectly dose the intensity, as I did previously. Thank you very much for this update.

If I may ask another question, I understand that from now on the "Axis Limiting" remains saved? On my motion platform I have a potentiometer to manage the amplitudes, but it is difficult to access while driving. So, can I now leave this potentiometer all the way up and keep an axis limitation setting in Simtools?

Thank you very much for the responsiveness, excellent work.

    Thansk for your help.
I use roll and pitch in degrees, but for yaw, due to the specifitcations of my simulator, I need to use yaw rate.
Okay, I will try washout filter for the rate output. But, for example, in MSFS 2020 the rate outputs works fine and continuous:

Being away from simdriving for quite some time I'm late to the v3 party.
Well, better late than never :)
I installed it today and found it really easy to configure and use, very nice and intuitive UI.
So far I only tested it with AC (edit: and AMS2 and DR2.0) but I enjoyed it a lot.

Congratulations @yobuddy keep up the great work :cheers

Axis Limiting is so you can make a end buffer on the axis that don't get used, as sort of a safety zone for the axis.
Axis Limiting is used for all SimTools plugins and profiles.
So I think it should work for you, but the best option here, would be a new remote profiler app for v3.
(That I will get there eventually)
    Take care!

    Hi everyone,

I have been unable to use the Vibe feature at all. When I go to configure the Vibe interface I select my sound card and click save. If I then click “Turn On” SimTools just crashes. And it’s not just the “Turn On” button that crashes it — If I leave the sound card selected and start a game, SimTools crashes. It won’t work again until I switch back to “none” for the sound card.

I have reported this issue on the “Contact Us” form (https://simtools.us/contact-us/), but we have not found a solution. I’m posting it here in case anyone else has suggestions.

I have tried deselecting the sound card (selecting none) and reselecting my card… still crashes. I am trying to use a USB-3.5mm sound card adapter, but I have also tried selecting my onboard Realtek adapter as well as my Rift’s headset output to no avail. All of my sound devices have current drivers installed and are working as expected outside of SimTools.

I have gone so far as installing and activating SimTools on a dual-booted Win8.1 hard drive (my normal OS is Win10 Enterprise) and also on an entirely separate Win10 PC (a Dell Precision tower), but SimTools crashes the same way everywhere I’ve tried it. I wondered if it had something to do with the Oculus VR drivers, but my Dell Precision does not have any VR stuff on it.
