Congratulations Jalili! I have studied all the stuff we can see here and I think that your design is one of the best in the web. I am going to start my own DIY .
I have made a 1:5 model of what I want to do and have the same questions that you had in the beginning, specially the position of the center pole to have the whole structure is in equilibrium.
I would like to put three screens (LED´s 22) and I have design a different external structure for the moving cockpit.
Please will you help me with a couple of questions?
Your structure seems to be aluminium, am I right?
Which wheel and pedals do you use? Which is the difference in level between the seat and the pedals?
This will help me a lot with the numbers for the final drawings.
Thank you very much in advance.
I will post some pictures as soon as I can. Regards

    Greeting Luchomc,

    Thank you for congratulations!

Yes, a party of my chassis is aluminium. It is only to earn a little of weights for my home floor wood. It is only for it!
Wheel and pedals is G25 (Logitech) which I am on the point of changing (to transform it everything into metal...)
For dimensions, if I good understood....

The seat is adaptable backward and forward as in a car.
Good courage for your plan and some pictures please...

    Hi jolili,
Fantastic alternative 2dof design, i think it looks brilliant and i can imagine it works as well as it looks, this design looks more suited for wiper motors, it has inspired me with my wheelchair motors.
Altho i don't like to copy i think your design has assisted me with ideas for mine.

    thanks Bart

I don't know if u consider this, you could try invert your scn5 upside down along your steering uprights and use direct translation to the floor base

Get passed 500 hrs and I'd say the SCN5s served you well

    Salut,

:yippiee:

For information, travel (displacement or movement) of SCN5 is regulated in 30 % (in profiler) what's very sufficient for me with race of 1 h 30 - 2 h 00 of average
    It's HUGE !!

Well I have been drolling over your setup for sometime now. I showed my wife it and she thought it was cool. I want to build one of mine own like yours but I doubt the scn5's can handle my wight. I'm 6', 5 and weight 310 lbs. Does anyone of some bigger and stronger actuators I could get and have them be fast enough for motion sims. Not worried about the cost yet.

Beautiful set up and one of the best looking ones I have seen!
