While you are definitely correct your comparison should also include the significant cost difference between the t500rs and the OSW industrial grade motor (so the average reader can understand why a 80$ 60watt motor feels so underpowered compared to a 300-1000$ industrial motor... both in power performance and fidelity).

Yeah, but again, why would anyone want to do arm wrestling with a wheel? I admit that I haven't tried OSW wheels yet, but that can't be authentic to have to do arm wrestling with the rim? Or are we talking about refined peaks here, and not overall strength...?

Yeh but your statement was why would you want to increase the power of a t500rs, its weak, thats why.

Its not just about power either. Its about the fidelity and precisions that the power allows. Its not about arm wrestling, its about exact movements in a 1:1 fashion. Its hard to describe but immediately noticeable. To a point you would hate your t500 and never again be satisfied.

Power is not just pulling you to the right, power is pulling you to the right and then snapping back to the left at the exact millisecond associated with the sim.

    I have used all these toys !! on a scale 1-20. 20 being the highest G27 and T300 would 2, Std T500 4, Fanatc V2 base 5, Upgraded T500 with 85w motor 6.
I also own the Accuforce which in my humble opinion would be 11-12 yes twice as good as the T500 upgrade..
The OSW and Leo Bodner would be 17-18 yes that much better, but are still toys but very expensive toys.
My VR Commodore V8 1650 Kg, 500 Hp sedan, I run at a little track called Baskerville in Tasmania would be 20 because it is real world track use.
For these "toys" the more power the better If I could put a 1 Kw motor into a T500 I would but it would crap itself in a second.
For anyone to comment on these great toys you would have to have used them to see what you personally liked.
For me the T500 with the 85w motor upgrade is perfect feel for price compared to the opposition for my kids.
The Accuforce compared to the OSW and Leo Bodner is fantastic on feel and price, I would have any of the other 2 in blink of an eye but they are just to expensive.
It all depends on your own preferences.
Once again I would like to thank Pit for all your help and advise + this great thread.

Hello just looked at this thread again the supplier is MR Rutty & Co PO Box 129 Mount Kuring-Gai NSW 2080 email account@mrutty.com.au deal with Kurt Weber.
You might have problems with belt jumping at Monaco in F1 2016 very quick hard movements the belt is to lose for the extra power of the motor.
I had to make a tensioner for mine to stop this. Hope all goes well.

Ok...not sure why but the quote I just received from Kurt is about double what you paid Chris? $468 + delivery
That's making a OSW look abit more appealing.

That price is in $AU from the same guy you got yours from - by the time it get's to me it will be closer to $600NZ!
Would there be any chance you could enquire how much to get another motor? - Not saying he is putting the price up because i'm from NZ but
seems strasnge that in a just a few months the price has increased over 100%

Thanks Chris..i do appreciate the reply.
That confirms the strange pricing to NZ..96cents to the Aus$ atm does not mean that much of an increase.
I could possibly fly across and get it over the counter cheaper than what he as quoted me...lol

I'm going to ask again I think. Really want to try this mod out!

actually its not, its crap. You apparently have never used a fanatec or an OSW. As someone who has built an OSW from scratch and owned a t500, the t500 is a toy.

    my opinion, youir opinion. right?
As you yourself said, APARENTLY you think I do not know other engines, right? But I know it. I play a lot with direct drive, I know exactly how it is. We know that the t500 is the best between affordable and for a normal person. The rest is too expensive. For me, all these wheels are toys, after all, we're not in a real car ...

This thread is meant for modifications of the T500 (only) and not to be meant if the T500 is a toy, crap or not (or anything else). @paulopsx2 @shannonb1 :cheers. You can open a new thread here. Thank you.
