Every possible way of connecting it would blow something up, plus it is a complete waste of an H-Bridge.

This is not possible because the 2 outputs of the H-Bridge are referenced to GND, eg: one connection is more positive than the other - DC motor turns. It only changes POLARITY of the +12V. You cannot produce -12V because GND has to be the common reference and it is a single supply design. If it was a double supply (-12V and +12V) design it would be possible, in that case we wouldn't need an H-Bridge.. Either way, this is running in circles.

First find out what signals are needed for the VFD's, then convert the PWM to analog accordingly. A simple op-amp can take care of all the signal conditioning and level shifting given a proper supply.

Well good news to all of the forum, it is possible to configure a VFD
accept (0V to turn right, stop the motor 5v, 10v turn left)
you have access to these parameters within the VFD which is totally
configurable, Thanos now remains to write a firmware with these new
characteristics and test, it seems very simple using only a
1.5 and the AMC board amplifier that converts 10v to 5v vcc. and more
vc. can set for example at 0 volts when the engine rotate
-30 Hz limiting engine speed by half, or 10 volts 30
hertz, plus everything that is configured within the VFD is also very
Flexible, now my question is regarding the configuration in x-sim? changes
something with these new parameters or firmware still using
    old profile?

alls variator frequency needs: speed to 0.....10v= 0....100% and direction with 2 digitals input.

can you give more informations to your last post and solution?

yes yes I understand that j7 mini is not able to work with (-
10 ... 0 ... +10) plus there are others that work this way I saw several
Manuals in PDF VFD who say it is possible to work this way without
require digital signals. my last post has a piece of
PDF manual that says that-10v = turn right, stop motor 0 and +10 =
turn left without digital signal, the operation is
equals a simple potentiometer operation even in the midst of
potentiometer to the motor when the motor turns to the left turns also
To the left, to right turns when the engine also turns to the right, and
    with Vcc -10 ... 0 ... +10 equals the same.

works perfectly with the output of the h-bridge, only have to have an exit in DC and not PWM

Frakk now understand your question sorry did not understand its
explanation, you understand that the h-bridge is just a reversal of polarity,
I'll try to make a good video so I can explain it better.

hah! very interesting, but where is the PDF, what is the name of the manufacturer?
it is OMRON ? whats model?

i need to buy a 3 variators frequency to make my 3DOF, i can buy one to test and give my experience for alls....

i think is weg, but in this PDF i don't see a solution to drive with the logic -100%....0....+100% is not easy to give a good description to the ingenieur about our simulator and our needs.
i try to contact WEG France to speak about ....

Hello Riton, look at switch on WEG's manufacturing here in Brazil and the engineer
reported that the WEG VFD is fully programmable, you can configure
that you want the analog inputs, you can tell the VFD that 0v =
turn to the left, or 10v = half the speed of the engine, WEG CFW-
08 is a PLC programmable understand.

ok, thanks, i search in france the price and a seller.
the problem , i think is a big price....
my mini J7 Omron is 120€ .if it no more exensive i think it's possible.

Riton let me ask you something mini J7 Omron is cheap even I
I find used here in Brazil for $ 100, good as I can manage
analog and digital signals simultaneously? Can the two signals
working together? pq AMC 1.5 has two digital outputs per motor.

Don't make it any more complicated than it has to be.

Why do you need to have -10V - +10V input range?
robervallll could you make a diagram or something visual how you want to connect h-bridge to input -10V?
I don't think you understood what I posted:
YOU CANNOT INTERFACE -10V ... +10V OUTPUT WITH A SINGLE +12V SUPPLY AND AN H-BRIDGE.

    Keep it simple:
-configure VFD to accept input from 0V left - +10V right. OR, 0V stop - +10V full speed + digital direction inputs.
-convert 5V PWM signal to 10V analog voltage.
    -connect to VFD

    That is it!

Why? When the pot is placed in center, the motor stops, if you turn/move the pot to its end positions, the motor will turn to the corresponding side. However, you may need a 10V pot, instead of 5V. Or simply use some resistors to achieve at least 2 speeds in each direction, and motor stop for testing.

Later, the potentiometer/resistors are replaced by the h-bridge/adc.

a standard VFD work like this:
speed with analog 0.....10V and 2 other digital input to left and right.

to work with Xsim with a card like thanos or velleman we need to work like this:
    0V =motor stop
    0....10V speed for left
    0.....10V speed for right

but we need this configuration with the same cable.

i make an electronic card to translate the analog information output velleman to have the good information.
    axactly like a H bridge.

when Xsim + velleman give for exemple motor full speed in right, my card adapte and give in output 10V , and make 2 digital output to drive the sens rotation , right.

for a midle speed , for exemple , my card make 0.....10V variable speed.

when my card see 2,5V in input, i have : Motor stop in output (2 Digital give the good postion to stop my motor) and speed =0V
    i make a range 2,4V..2,5V..2,6V motor stop.

    0V.......2,5V.......5V
(10V onVFD for speed )0V..........2,5V(=0V onVFD for speed)........5V(=10onVFD for speed)
when my card see range 0.....2,4V he say sens rotation left , digital output give the good information and give a speed 0...10V.
when my card see 2,6V.......5V, he say sens rotation right it give 0.....10V speed for the VFD and
give the good position in the digital input to turn right.
and when my card see 2,4.....2,6 he stop motor and give in vfd 0V speed and give in digital motor stop information
with this card all VFD are compatible.
i see the price for weg, about 700$, very exensive....

Riton just can not understand a thing because you use signals
digital? that I can not understand if you work with
    0V 5V ...... ....... 2.5 V.

    0 ..... 2.4 V sens say he left rotation
    2.4 V. .2.5 V V. .2,6 stop motor
    2.6 V. ...... 5V, he say right rotation sens

if you through the sign analaógico already says that the engine can turn to
left or right to go because with digital signals?
if 0 ... 5v does all the work to turn to the left to right and is not
    or am I wrong?

in output velleman i use analog , and in analog you have in output velleman :
0V........2,5V........5V( it is a standard , with this you can drive a h bridge for example)
    0V motor left
    5V motor right
    2,5V motor stop
and between 0.....2,5V and 2,5V.....5V variable speed.

with this operation you have in 2 cables direction and speed.( analog cable + ground)

variator frequency need for speed a variable voltage to 0.....10V and for direction 2 digital input to drive right or left.

the objectif is to convert analog output velleman (or thanos card for exemple) to a good solution with 2 cables to drive VFD

my variator frequency use 0......10V analog for speed and 2 digital for direction(and a lot of VFD use 0....10V for speed and 2 digital for direction)

you can not use just analog 0.....10V to drive direction and speed in same time.
    i don't found any variator frequency can work with a single analog fot direction and speed;

the good question to the ingenieur is:
it is possible to drive a motor with analog speed in the same time for speed and direction with the logic -100%.........0..........+100%.

-100% it is not a negative voltage n it is a negative rotation ( for exemple left) and +100% it is a positif rotation right for exemple.

i tell Omron, hitachi, i dont found a VFD with this fonctionnement.

0 motor stop. and .............. speed variation.

I don't see any problems here.

1.) The AMC already has PWM + 2 digital direction signals. Convert PWM to analog voltage, 5V or 10V max, connect direction signals directly.

2.) If you have a VFD that accepts a single analog signal, for speed and direction, only convert the PWM to a voltage.
    Then make the small modification to the firmware to output: (0% = 0V = 100% left) - (50% = 5V = STOP) - (100% = 10V = 100% right).

    No need for H-Bridge.

yes but the condition is you must have a VFD with an analog input can drive speed and direction, and it is not easy, i think it'is not possible but i want to see ....

    there are an other problem:
in synaptrix, it is not possible to make a profile with speed an position if you have speed in analog and direction in digital, the simulator don't work correctly.

i speack a lot with Nina about this problem.

the solution is to found a VFD with analog for speed and direction but, if it possible i think the price is a problem, more exensive.

the second solution, it is my solution, make an electronic card to convert analog to 2 digital and one analog for speed.

i don't test thanos card with USO, with my variator frequency....maybe i must test...maybe it's ok.
