Its a little pain in the ass to put all that stuff in that little board but I do good so far. I expect the H-bridge to have similar dimensions. For now I assembled all this in two large breadboards to program and fine tune the firmware before I get to the point that I have to change ports or anything.

Its neat like that, the LCD hooks directly on it and you can use the little push-buttton-encoder for selections on the LCD menu...!! :brows:

    Hey Thanos,

Far more important than dimensions are features imho ;D
I wouldn't mind if the pcb would be 200x300mm ... or bigger.
It is easier to solder anyway, when the pcb tracks and components arent that near together. So why the effort to miniaturize it?

My wishlist for new AMC2 features would be  :
    -ribbon cable connectors
    -quadrature encoder support
    -3 axis
    -full PID
-eventually on-the-fly adjustable kp, kd and ki values via pots (like theboemio' circuit) or ALPS pushbuttons.

Btw, I'd recommend to open a new thread for the AMC2.0.
Even for the previews, because this 115 pages thread is too long to be clear already.

Looking forward to your new controller
    Regards

For high quality double side boards with silkscreen, size does matter!!! The smaller the cheaper!

    As for the rest:

-Ribbons are useless in this board, it uses screw leads in the most important connections to the h-bridge or to the connections to industrial motor driver.
-It has quadrature encoder support now... the two ATtiny45 does that task!
-Full PID is there too... and adjustable on the fly is almost implemented!

-Sorry, Two axis for now. I don't want to sacrifice some features just to add another low resolution (8-bit) axis! I have in plans to make it also work in slave mode to daisy chain two or ore of them to create 3-axis combined motion or peudo 6dof motion ... maybe will just make later a smaller addon board with a smaller chip that has 16-bit timer and i2c enough for the extra axis... haven't actually decided yet.

Will open a new thread for the new AMC644USB 2.2 when I have the working prototype! :D

Yes, FTDI... FT232RL.... in DIP module, I don't like SMT too much. They are hard to solder! :mug1:

Hello everyone I'm Italian Michele are present, I wanted to ask my question to TRONICGR.
I possess a Parallax BASIC Stamp, so far I have tried to follow step by step all of your information, I wanted to use the normal servo controls as those used by modelers, when I start the game (GRID) all respond to good, the problem is that instead that have movements of 90 ° 0 ° -90 °, is full of turns and when to return to the point 0 °, not reaching, but stops at random and starts from there,
rotating between the various post after a long time I could not find a video test drive 6 servo controls, have an attached
    115KRC6DOF001.HEX
I do not know how to use it.
and then you have to use pots with the servo commands?

Thank you for your tremendous contributions to the community, Thanos!

I've been on the forums/youtube for a few days, doing research, and I think I want to do this project.

Can I please buy a USB AMC, H-Bridge and LCD board from you? With the new boards, what parts will be required? Is it still the same list on page 28 of this forum? I'm trying to build a joyrider motion simulator, but have little electronics experience. I'm not even sure what to do with the boards when I get them... I'm guessing just solder the parts to the board?

Thanks for your input and consideration,
    Tyler

If someone would upload a highres screenshot, it could be implemented into the OP.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbjHE2o0cQ0

    Ciao Grazie

Ps perdonami se non ti rispondo tempestivamente

    hi guys,
@ATSP&fredspeed, I do not know if it can be useful, but 1 * 0 = 0 and the value / 0 -> 00 (infinity), then perhaps we should add value / 1 * 1 +0, I also do not appear above the COM port!!!

@ michele&valvolino1978, here I go ... better in English than the forum post heheh (I'm too poor in English ....) anyway to create a closed loop control is always a feedback, and a transducer capable of providing the position data (in our case) or the software can not know the position of the actuator only estimates! I could not tell what is used in the video, not seen.

    bye
