You are correct he motion cancellation uses SteamVR, so where necessary Revive basically translates from the Oculus SDK to SteamVR.

It is ironic that Revive was designed to give Vive owners access to exclusive Oculus content and now it is allowing Rift owners to access motion cancellation.

As an aside Palmer Lucky has just become the largest Patreon contributor to support the Revive dev, as he recently lost his job: http://www.pcgamer.com/oculus-rift-...source=facebook&utm_campaign=buffer_pcgamerfb

    Hi,
Thanks for answers . I didn't all understand what I should make the Motion cancellation working !
What I have to do whith Revive ? I have to launch the game with revive using oculus in steam ?
I forgoten to give an information . As I noticed that the touch are active just with one tracker sensor I didn't proceed to the configuration with 2 sensors .That means that I didn't have a roomscale defined !
I don't know yet if it's needed to get the motion cancellation active .
The one who achieved making the motion cancellation working succesfull with Rift could post more information pls ?
    Thanks

    Hi noorbeast,
Installed revive libreVr , restart computer and worst as ever !
When I launch steamVr home I hear like virtually click from touch .It's like someone push continuously on touch buttons.
After I'm faced many problems , computer freezing , my hdmi connection from oculus not recongnized.
Even when rebooting hdmi failed ( somehow already arrived but not as often as now ) .After shutting down and restart computer , I got back my headset recongnized.
But what was strange is now the touch.s aren't recognized .
One question , I don't really understand how you launch the game and from where .You said inject revive for games , what you mean ? For me as for example assetto corsa bought from, steam , when inside steam vr home I go the the tab revive , i can watch only tittle bought from my oculus library and not from steam.
Is there somewhere someone who could explain step by step what he did for'launching his game with motion cancellation sw for the rift ?
Edit : could SilentChill give more information about his Rift setup and how he launches the game. And for me did he make a setup with 2 positioning sensors to have the touch active or not ?
Edit : when looked at SilentChill video , I don't cleary watch where he mounted one touch ( the right touch ) and it would be interestning to know what setup he made ! For the tracking sensor he seems to be mounted just in front of the wheel

    Edit :

The problem i'm facing now is worse , worse !
I uninstalled revive with win 10 uninstall tool in configaration panel .
I rebooted my computer but unsuccessfully , i had to force the shutt down .
I restarted my computer and tried to do a new oculus configuration but before the end for the configuration I lost The hdmi connection and I was unable to finish the configuration .
I was unable to shut down my computer without unpluging all my usb3.0 conection and hdmi connection ( i use a pci usb 3.0 card inatek).
So now I can't finish a configuration for my oculus and there is a problem with usb3.0 management and/or hdmi connection.

Any help would be grandly appreciated .... Because now I can't use the motion cancellation and neither my oculus !

The revive program changed something in the whole vr process and eventhough I uninstall it I can't get back to my original'configuration

@benmax I said you have to configure your Rift first. Sounds like you are balking both the Oculus and SteamVR config because you have not done that.

Take things slow and one step at a time.

You need to have Oculus Home working properly first. If it is not uninstall everything and start again.

Once Oculus Home is sorted you then need to have it running and start SteamVR. SteamVR should then show your Oculus cameras and controllers. Install something like The Lab to test it.

Once they are working then you can move on to Rivive. Read the Github page carefully.

Last is the motion cancellation, see its Github page.

    Hi noorbeast ,
I 've got the feeling that I try to do the thing carefully step by step .I'm not a noob in this and I read twice and more all installation information .I assume also the risk doing this and I took the decision knowing possible issues .Anyone else than me pushed me to do that.
I'm frustated as other sim builder not to have the possibility using our headset that is so fantastatic playing with the rig .The feeling is so amazing and what is most frustating is that all worked rock'sokid with oculus 1.12 .
I didn't also understand why oculus developers givn't to us to have a feature to cancel the gyro information because on the 1.12 it works very well and stable.
As I said It would be fair if someone getting the motion cancellation working to give us a step by step procedure .
Thanks and I will google a lot in the next days ... How uninstall steam vr , how uninstall ...
I already red that the usb drivers installed with steam vr are a party of the problem !

I'm in. Just got my motion sim put back together and almost ready to fly and this tracking solution is the best news I've had all year!

I'm mainly interested in DCS (IMPORTANT NOTE: Non Steam Version!) at the moment, so that's what I'll be working with. I'm an Oculus user so as near as I can tell this is what I need to do:
1-Verify Oculus Rift and Touch are working properly in Oculus Home
2-Set up SteamVR with my Rift and Touch
3-Install Revive and make sure it is working, forcing DCS to run through Revive
4-Install OpenVR-InputEmulator and access it's options and settings through SteamVR

I don't expect this to go smoothly, as soon as somebody says "batch file" I get very nervous! I don't think me getting linked to a batch file has ever ended well, at least not without a lot of help from kind folks on the forums!

I'm also very unsure about where I can put a single Rift camera and have it never lose sight of my HMD or the Touch controller. My new build has a big console in front of me, steel frames around me, and will have an overhead console in a few days. It's basically a full UH-1 Cockpit.

Alright, I got as far as Revive so far. I installed Revive (via executable thank goodness), then I launched it and right clicked on the icon and clicked "inject", then I pointed to the executable for DCS World (NON STEAM VERSION) and DCS Launched and looked perfectly normal, with the standard Oculus initial loading screen.

Not sure how to tell if DCS is running through ReVive or not...

    Don't know yet.

Edit: Nevermind about the dashboard, I found it! The "oculus" menu button thing on the left controller brought it up, previously I don't think I've ever had those buttons bring up something other than Oculus Home menu functions.

Ok, The steps were simpler than I expected but I think I'm hung up.

So far no success in getting DCS (standalone not Steam version) to run through ReVive. Originally I pointed it to the normal .exe which is actually the updater and though the game did launch I'm pretty sure that it wasn't running through ReVive. When I click inject and point to the "run.exe" for DCS directly the game just doesn't launch.

I'm out of time for tonight, hopefully I can fight with it more tomorrow.

Assuming this works and eliminates the tracking anomalies as well as rotational errors from the platform pitching and rolling I WILL sell my Oculus and switch to Vive if I have to!

I have not tried it @Trip Rodriguez but the normal process for stand alone games is right-click the Revive tray icon and select Inject, which opens a file dialog that allows you to navigate to the main executable of the game.

Thanks Noorbeast, that is what I tried. When I point at the executable file that we normally use, which is actually the updater I get into the game but I don't think it's running through ReVive. When I point to the "run" executable the game doesn't launch.

    Hi Trip,
Thanks for your informative information about motion cancellation sw with rift.
One question about the rift configuration .As you setup the touch you need to configure the 2 tracking sensors .
Q1 : when you proceed to the configuration following the oculus steps , where did you place the 2 sensors ?
Q2 : when playing where are the 2 sensors .When I look at all our configuration one sensor is just in front of us on the moving plateform , just behind the wheel .Where is located the second one behind you and fixed ?
I tell me and I tried with 2 senors in front of me spaced from more as one meter but this configuration is humm a little surprising and difficult to make stable.
    Cheers
